A Jelly song slipped under my radar until just a while ago:

It's interesting how Jelly seems to have compartmentalized the music side of things (and all the sad girl posts) with her Moon Jelly persona, while all streaming-related business goes under Jelly Hoshiumi. Makes me wonder what exactly her deal with Fishman is, since she's been pretty silent about her activities as Moon Jelly (or it could simply be that no one has bothered to ask). Not that I'm complaining, keeping Moon Jelly around might be good if she really goes all-in on music in the future.

From the numbers we've been able to ballpark, a member of Phase Connect can get decent part-time job money as a vtuber, but not enough to make full-time job money (unless they're willing to grind full-time for months to turn it into a full-time job, like Shiina or Pippa). Composing music for money as a second job helps make up that shortfall for Jelly.

Vtuber "parents" could probably request a carveout for alternate designs if they thought about it. Someone like Redjuice would benefit greatly from being able to go all out, and it's excellent cross promotion for Cover.

The only reason I believe any of this is I read the other thread. Please, next time you need to vent about Marina do it there, so people will have the appropriate context. Also, there's an old mob saying, never say on the phone what can be written, and never write what can be said. It sounds like the indie sphere is a fucking snake pit, so don't say anything you wouldn't want told to your preacher.

The best solution to paranoia isn't voice chat, it's public chat. No one can accuse you of saying anything you didn't do, if there were hundreds of people reading the messages as they appeared. No fake screenshots, no fake recordings, we are living in an era where digital proof is disgustingly easy to make as realistic as you want. And the more you talk on streams or in VC the easier it will be for them to generate a voice file of you saying some fucked up shit. Have a reputation for never engaging anywhere other people can't see, and the next time someone will try going "she said all this mean things to me in DMs" no one will believe it. It's actually incredibly optimistic thinking that just because you were venting to someone in private they will not use it against you in the future.

TFW Pippa's infuriating inability to respond to DMs has probably saved her on multiple occasions.

Pam is a weird oddity because even when she is like barely a 2 views she is connected with all the cabal including Holostars, proof that networking pay more than views in the long run

She takes commissions as Moonjelly both independently and through a studio. She also takes commissions as Jelly Hoshiumi related to Phase Connect, and I'm guessing she negotiates individual contracts or has a going rate with Fishman for composing and mixing songs for Phase Connect talents to help propel Fishman's hopes of getting his idol company.
