From what the text says, there's some weird legal grey area about using money from that site in the company and they don't want to risk it. If that's the case, I can kind of understand if the they have to "voluntarily" stop using it, as that could get them all in trouble.
I expect we will hear more from this later, I think they're just playing it safe and may lift the restriction later on (or lock it down completely).
