Her vacation is over, she’s coming back from Japan.

I do think the whole leaving more confused than she was before the trip is purely due to the fact that she seemed pretty dead set on putting vtubing behind her. She goes to Japan, talks to her oshis (actual idols/not Kiara or FuwaMoco) about her story, and what she used to do, and gets told to keep doing that. After that, she meets up with Kiara and FuwaMoco, who to my knowledge are pretty content for the most part, but also not disillusioned that it's still a corporation, talk to her. Whether she was given an invitation or a suggestion that she should apply again, we're probably never going to know unless she magically does pop up in the next gen. But I can definitely imagine that she's very conflicted about what she should do going forward.
