Lore is cool when you can actually immerse yourself in suspension of disbelief and it's actually a well crafted world by a competent writer and worldbuilder. Most vtubers' only experience writing was papers in school and fanfiction in AO3, so their lore is usually cringe and edgy as fuck, it's also hard to get immersed in it when the subject of said lore is a dime-a-dozen coombaiter tittymonster that talks about skibbidy toilet.
