Probably about 1/3rd of Hexa's viewers come from /pcg/ and /here/ now after the Pippa collab and subsequent meltdown.

Does Japan still treat video game tournaments with monetary prizes as "gambling"? I remember back in the day that was something Japan did and it's why Japanese developers would give out novelty prizes (Custom Controllers, Shirts, and even Food iirc) rather than real money. My only guess is that Selen was adamant (being a competitive gamer and esports fan) that people deserve some sort of monetary reward for their prowess but if its an international tourney with Japanese Livers playing it'd get into some fuckery with that.
Pretty sure they do. I thought they, fairly recently, had some exemptions, but it's been a long issue for the eSports scene there. That said, if you're running an international setup, there's ways around it. I.e. it's not a "prize", it's contractor employment with bonuses, lol.
I don't know much about this Hexa vtuber but am surprised that she crossing over with that Planefag guy. Knew him from his old 4chan /tg/ "choose your own adventures" stories ages ago and apparently accidentally created the "Humanity Fuck Yeah!" genre or some shit, mostly used his twitter to mald about politics in USA or making long-thread about him watching animus and malding about it.
Weird that two of them ended up collided. Oh right, am not sure if people has mentioned it before, but the Niji ex-ID woman who tried to sell NSFW stuff on her alt/being woke troon in a country that would throw her off the mosque roof, Hana Macchia got two new music out from Nijisanji main branch's "FOCUS ON" singles album collections thingie.
I haven't heard it but eh, maybe someone who still tolerate her would still enjoy it regardless.
There's not a lot of US States with Castle Doctrine. There should be more, but that's a different topic. She should probably seek some legal advice for what options are available in her State, but I've also got to ask if he's a legal US citizen?
It doesn't come up too much, but it really needs to be remembered that everyone in East Asia is deeply racist against everyone else. And not in the Twitter-like "you're racist!", but in the Han Chinese racial supremacist sense. It hasn't come up that much in management circles, but you never know. It actually could be an issue.
Rare early stream for Shiori about her Cruise. She is too embarrassed (I talk on the internet and people like me) about her job to tell most of her family what she does so it affected her video recording
Edit: Wants to rent a family in Japan and watch Conan O'Brian videos on stream
Shiori if you are /here/ just say you do porn like the cockroach. Then noone will question your video recording. It is prob less embarrassing than showing them your clips anyway.
Welcome to the shiori experience, tbh it isnt even half of her power, her smash streams are where it's at. Too bad she is too big of a wuss to go all out on collab stream.

Some interesting things I noticed regarding nuAkari's debut:
Looks like them marketing her as a former king really worked. Her subs shot up to 12k from 800+ before her debut.
SONY's been really pushing with her marketing. Other than video ads of her in Shibuya, there's Trucks with her as well.
And lastly I looked up some english translations of her first cover song
The gist of it from what I understood is that he/she is happy that she's reincarnated into this current cute girl form because her previous life was her working for a black company.
The more I look at it, the worse Amia's face looks. Did she get a different artist to do it? The old one looked cute, this just looks uncanny. Ignoring the whole issue of redesign not making any sense to start with and being ten times worse than original

Getting a different artist for a new outfit isn't an odd practice for most nijilivers afaik, agree on the new face being pretty uncanny though (or it could be that seeing her without a glasses for the first time made me think that way)
Someone called Atrioc with 500K+ subs made a video on China situation, including a section on influencers suppresion and vtubers. His choice of thumbnail is fucking hilarious:
EDIT: I was wondering how he got her, so I googled "China vtuber". What I got was Vox Akuma, news about CCP government vtubers outrage, that girl who was (?) kidnapped, Artia, girl with her Ni-chan, some Hololive stuff.
EDIT2: The original thumbnail was Kiryu Coco portrayed as a Chinese influencer being doxxed by the Bilibili guidelines
Erina may seem to be very soothing and calm in comparison to other Phase girls, but don't be fooled, sometimes she lets the degenerate out and those brief moments are priceless.
