In general I had at least random phase fags as well hearting my posts about Kiara and that was wholesome
I don't need to sell Kiara to people who are already Hololive fans, so it just reduces my amount of gushposts (something people apparently miss from the good old days) but the split thread is not the way to bring them back.

Even though I'm a big Hololive fan (though I mostly just pay attention to the JP side), I'm obviously a bigger Phasefag. For what it's worth, even though I don't watch Kiara, I appreciate your gushposts about her and enjoyed reading your perspective as a Kiara fan about the unfortunate recent happenings. My favorites types of posts are these types of gushposts/effort posts about someone's oshi or vtuber they enjoy enough to make such posts. I've always had respect for Kiara for the things she's done, but various posts from you and others have given me much more respect for her as time has gone on by informing us of things that I would probably have never seen on my own. So even though I don't watch her, I like and respect her enough to where I can say I'm a fan of her in that sense.

I know I'm pretty much just affirming what you've said about others potentially like me needing to go through extra steps to see such effort posts in the thread split. As a fan of both Holo and Phase, I keep up with both threads, but I don't really have much reason to keep up with the Niji or Vshojo threads, and only pop into the indie threads every once in a while, so I may miss posts like these in other threads I don't frequent, which is a shame. I just want to say that I personally do enjoy these types of write-ups and hope you and others will keep at them when you feel the desire to do so. As I already said, as much as I enjoy shitposting and making jokes, my favorite posts tend to be those gushing over their oshis no matter who they are.

I do too. Of course, I'm fine with this, because I'm not that interested in the overall ongoings of the whole industry. I'm not a fan of the whole industry, or of vtubing as an abstract concept. I'm a fan of Hololive and I'm just here to read about and discuss Hololive. I don't really find all of the constant drama about microcorpos and literal who two-view indies very interesting.

Mainly, I just think it's a shame we've been losing more and more forum regulars lately, though I'm sure there are other reasons some of them have for that.

Yeah, many of the forum regulars is either gone or spent their time on their own discord doing their own things. Yes, discord bad, but they still there talking stuff and being more or less connected to each other so I guess that's still a win.

Just, you know, it happened because the forum gets fucked every single day.

Maybe someone mentioned it in the Nijisanji thread, but I never go there because I'm not interested in keeping up with a thread consisting of half a dozen people ritualposting Rosemi clips.

To be frank, the joke has been getting a bit stale (imo), but it was pretty much the only tangible activity of whatever scant remnant of folks in the forum that is more than willing to talk about niji. Those who doesn't do are either doing it because it's a unity collab and thus fit more to say, the General Thread and holo (if it was HoloJP x NijiJP thing) thread or they don't have anything to say at all.

And I admit, despite being the one who propose the joke and probably the only few that still willing to talk about Niji in here (aside of @VSoyBoy ), I don't feel like it's worth going to a thread, make something and doesn't get anything at all. Vsoyboy got it in him, but I'm not going to pretend that the forum would magically give two shits to a split thread like Niji with most of the folks heavily leans to Phase or Holo.

Sure, it's all because of outside factor and Nijisanji being a absolute wanker, but at this point barely anyone would find the willingness to look at the thread anyway so why bother?
