The whole thing really didn't seem too out of the ordinary to me. I've seen and heard of plenty of fan clubs, for both music and sporting events, organizing to buy up a contingent of tickets for their ranks.
The way they went about it was a bit odd, and it would have probably been better if they registered interest beforehand and then only bought enough tickets to provide everyone who registered with a guaranteed ticket. If any are left over after that, they could still be raffled off.

I'm pretty sure that was what was happening.They had spreadsheets and everything, and were letting people just come into the server and ask to be put on the list for tickets right up until the point they got shamed into giving them up.
It'll only get worse, seeing as no-effort ragebait, and picking fights over nothing are currently the most popular forms of content on social media, or at least that's what it feels like.
It's a combination of a few things comes together
1. This place was an offshoot of kiwifarms, most regular who came over has been through an entire era of internet

I read just before release that there was apparently something like 5 million applicants for the Japanese lottery against 2 million ready to sell units over there. So yeah, it'll probably take them a while to equalise the stock on the Japanese-only version.

I don't really want to screenshot everything lest it filled proctor's forum HDD space, but from what I gather, the combinations of chaotic attempts to buy tickets where they basically is in discord voice calls just to coordinate things along with what BVTM did caused shit to crumble. He tried his best to defend his ground, but it's clear that people will consider what was supposed to be a community-focused effort into a cascade of disasters thanks to out of context screenshots, unnecessary attempt to raise up morale that rubbed people the wrong way, and well, chaos.

So, to probably no one's surprise, I wasn't able to secure tickets to the live concert. Oh well...at least I can still get the streaming tickets. 2 months should be plenty of time to figure out how the streaming sites work, right?
