I feel like if it's actually on Sam, he would have to bring up Marky as his ace-in-the-hole to justify its' existence whatsoever. He has been deathly terrified to even utter Sam's name for so long - if he's actually reviving Content Cop after years of saying he never would, and then is aggressively dropping the video on his birthday, then surely it has to be substantive enough that he actually feels genuinely confident for making a show of hyping up the return.
...or, the Sam birthday thing could be a complete and utter unintended coincidence, and the video will be about Elon Musk. Who knows!
Has anywhere outside of the heckin' wrongthink-sphere actually talked about it though? I could see him very awkwardly talking around the fact all his receipts come from imageboards and the farms, and shooting himself in the foot doing so.

I had spitballed on KF that it could be possible iDubbbz got in contact with Marky directly for it, which is something I don't think anyone has done. If that's the case, this could actually get interesting.
Probably not though, all the people on Twitter are also speculating it'll be on H3 which may just be even sadder and more pathetic than going after Musk.
I kind of hope it is H3, not because there's anything actually juicy to talk about that hasn't been covered at great length already, but because of the amount of online leftist infighting it'd cause. There's so many angles it could backfire on him from: the H3/Hasan fallout was huge and everyone in that particular audience has very firmly picked a side, Ethan is incredibly outspoken on the Israel/Palestine shit which is obviously a hot-button topic for them right now, and they've been dealing with actual irl harassment recently from redditors making false reports that Ethan was abusing their children - so making a video shitting on him now would be "dogpiling" which is a big no-no (and one of the things Ian explicitly disavowed when crying about his old videos).

Phase is just too good, and already have enough talents and content to get lost in for months. And I really like their attitude/brand. Hollow life, while obviously being high quality, seems a bit too strict/businessy. I might sooner move to something like IdolEN or VShojo if I ever want more.

Funny you should say that, PC being more real is exactly why I love them. I never got into vtubers before Phase because it just seemed fake and cringe to me.

Well, that was just my first impression of whatever I saw back then. I was like "nah" and didn't go into it any further. Then, at some point, I saw Pippa and that seemed really fun and different from what I had seen before.
I'm sure there are things in Holo that I would like if I were to delve into it, but I'm already quite satisfied with Phase so there's no need. I still think my impression of Holo probably holds up because I see other people confirming it. I also explore a bit now and then and I still think "nah". Mostly.

The Content Cop itself would also be awfully painful to watch if it does come out. The edgy comedy wouldn't fly anymore with his nu-audience so you would get a combination of unfunny anti-jokes and mind numbingly retarded tangents about how this action is bad and you should feel bad about it too. Basically his podcast with his BPD trash wife but even worse since gimmicky editing can't save a charisma void of personality.
Peak comedy is watching these troll's remorse sufferers eat each other to atone for their past edginess. I'm not sure if I want to watch it because I know it's going to be cringe, but it might be worth it just to have receipts to make fun of him and his ugly mess of a wife.
