disclaimer: only in ENIn vtubing, there seems to be a pretty good correlation between companies treating their talents well and companies being successful over the long-term, and vice versa. Treating your talents badly and exploiting them is poor long-term strategy, it means you won't attract quality talents (they can do better elsewhere), you won't retain the talents you do have (they will quit or move elsewhere), and the talents are less incentivized to put in their best efforts for the company.
nijiJP is still the most earning company despite treating their talent like craps.
and there is a new wave of vtubing companies in japan that treats vtubers as recycled waste and they have millions of dollars/conglomerate funding like bond/iriam/etc. Each of these currently has like 1000 vtubers in their "non"-payroll.
If you believe their financial results they are making good money. I personally don't trust capitalist self-reports, but somewhere in the back of my head fear that they are actually telling the truth, that they are making sustainable money and they are here to fuck over everything forever.
Hololive may not lose to them. But thousands of unsuspecting vtubers will go quietly into the night, never making livable wage while being abused by them.
yes we reached the point where Brave is the good guy.
