They were cracking a lot of jokes about it on stream after Geega was scooped, but the general consensus was that they would probably stay indie and use Geega as a bridge to the upper leagues (it did, in fact, work, check Bat's yesteryear collabs).
I think the situation is just a lot more complicated than people are making it out to be. Only three people have actually publicly spoken against Doki: Vox, Elira, and Ike. We don't actually know anyone else beyond them that is not just speculation. Could be copium, sure, but I am not willing to condemn people over unsubstantiated rrats. With how many people are involved behind the scenes over different companies, it is probably a fucking mess with a lot of different POVs and opinions on the matter.
It makes sense to me, with NijiEN and almost every small corpos imploding, HoloEN is once again concentrating every application on the planet, they get to pick and choose and god knows what criteria they look for this time.

I think people also forget that she actually deserved the firing lol. While the events leading up to it are shit and I don't blame her for her reaction to the privating of the MV, she still publicly told people to reupload the MV. That is a pretty insane thing to tell people to do if she had any intention of not being fired, which she clearly didn't. The issue came with Nijisanji's deciding to completely shit on her during the firing and then letting the retard trio double down on it instead of shutting the fuck up after the retarded termination notice. Even if they didn't want to give her a graduation, nothing justifies the 3 pages of bullshit.
Well yeah... I think a lot of the anger came from 1. The suicide attempts and 2. The sheer vindictiveness of the company, both could've been avoided with better PR and management. Riku's whole statement was also terrible, and shows a complete lack of any understanding of the west or why people were mad, he came off as a corporate slavedriver.
Yeah that was stupid AF. That was Selen's breaking point though I get why she would be pissed: management was fucking with her by saying it's ok then not ok after she uploaded the MV. Whatever it was, be it malicious or just pure incompetence, we wouldn't be here if NijiEN's management just did their job even if they're being paid JACK SHIT it's still their job and they're being paid. All in all, I can now watch Doki just be a gremlin with her friends and I get to watch Anycolor's yacht slowly sink in the distance.
In the most literal sense, sure, but that situation only came about because Niji had been fucking with her for a long time at that point. It's like getting in trouble for punching someone in the face when they were clearly instigating it and fucking with you the whole time, you're technically in the wrong but they were absolutely asking for it. Ideally you have a clear enough head to avoid getting entrapped like that, but given Selen's situation at the time, I don't blame her one bit for sticking it to Niji.
Yeah, don't get me wrong, this is all of Niji's own making. They deserve all the shit they are getting. It just gets a lot muddier when it comes to the Livers and ex-Livers and what actually was involved with them behind the scenes.
