I watched Yuri quite a bit, so it hurts that I'll never know what happened.
What's the point of a new model if you don't stream? Is it to not stream with a higher-quality model?

Eh, I don't think the whole "being in vshojo" is something to be worked up over. From what I've seen, they do a good job supporting their talents, their talents seem to be happy there, they have a low turnover and it looks like they even keep their models if they leave. Oh, and Pomu would get to be in the same corp as her oshi, Henya, and some of her previous coworkers. It's not a bad option for her if she gets the opportunity.

It's not much of a rrat. Some of her friends are already there. She's almost certainly going to be joining them.
That said, if Cover really wants her in Hololive, they can offer her a bigger stage than VShojo ever could. She could be a virtual idol for real.
Nobody really wants vtubers that they like to be in VShojo. It's just where they end up after leaving other groups sometimes. It's sort of like a vtuber retirement home.

I don't doubt this has at least been a consideration. Presenting sexually explicit content as ASMR so it flies under the radar has always felt like a loophole rather than an earnest business strategy since it's on a typically safe-for-work platform and one could argue it's artistic rather than pornographic (yeah, I know, but that tiny little bit of plausible deniability can do some heavy lifting) - but as vtubing and ASMR communities continue to grow, the chances of sponsors, payment processers, and other potential business partners catching on increases.
I could go digging (but why would I?) for some evidence to prove a claim that Japanese r18 ASMR that is pretty explicitly dicksucking/fucking RP tracks last for an insane amount of time on Youtube simply because most of them are a static picture on audio and the titles, in Japanese no less, aren't explicit about the detail. There are others that approach that subject but never fully commit on the premise in the Youtube video because it only serves as a sort of free taste for something available on dl-site or other such h-audio sales platforms, but if you know Japanese you realize what's going on.
Youtube doesn't really fully scrub videos for the content and it seems even less likely to hook on any kind of audio cues in Japanese because it's simply not designed/programmed to. There's a lot of content creators out there that demonstrate/will tell you that saying certain words at all/within certain time frames have a negative impact on their videos/channel. We can only hope that the shit grade AI content police get improved enough that this kind of shit gets caught and burned, I'm sick of ethots treating Youtube as a space to advertise their holeposting accounts.
I hope so much for !Pomu in Holo simply because she could really hit that idol dream and I want to cry just as much as she will to finally get that fulfillment. If she does go for Vshojo though please god don't let her be twitch only because I'm still too lazy/retarded to look for an adblock solution and I refuse to pay twitch any money.
I don't know, if they oust Froot I would be more behind supporting Vshojo if they continue to be the 'after corpo' for vtubers that leave a company but don't want to go back to full on indie status. Unfortunately, Twitch culture is utmost cancer and there'll always be the lingering contamination from being on the platform.
