As an old fag who played the original release I got annoyed very quickly that Golden felt centered around her dumbass
It was worse in Royal with that one chick I dunno tho I only played that for a hour before I was like "yep I've played 5 already" so she might not be as bad
I havent played Royal but i think the big new content they added isnt focused on Kasumi so they didnt quite repeat the Marie thing
She is integral to the part after Persona 5 regular ends, i.e. the "DLC" story, along with another new character.
During the old Persona 5 story, she's only there superficially and you can't even add her to your party. And when her story starts, you can take her out of the party for 95% of it, as I have done.
I found her presence inoffensive and the new antagonist is pretty interesting, so he makes the experience of the Royal content.
Marie is far FAR more annoying then Kasumi.
if nothing else at least Kasumi contributes being the only real access to bless damage you have outside Joker at worst her story is too silly to take seriously but still comes packaged with an interesting Antagonist
That being said I like more then that about her.
Design and Aesthetic is on point along with the Symbolism that comes from the Persona (Cinderella makes sense Sumire vs Kasumi) the only thing I actively dislike about her is her Codename Violet is kind of lame.

I played a lot of both Heroes of Might & Magic II and III back in the '90s and 2000s. I even had Heroes II on my phone for a while, although that was mostly just because I wanted a game that I could play without internet access.
Marie was by far the most blatant worst of the Persona implied love interests. I don't mind her as far as plot significance goes, it's how she is implemented and how much screen time she steals.
Someone really wanted a piece of that HanaKana cake.
I actually had to look up who Marie was and think for a bit to remember her. I completely forgot she was even a thing in P4G, lol.
Lies of P shadowdrop was welcome, though I have yet to buy the game
Biboo seemed to really like it (the original game I mean). I like it too. I'm grinding for levels to beat the monster in the swamp, he's pretty difficult for me.
My mind went to Battle for Middle Earth, I really do think the property is dying for a good game seeing as how it has mods based on it for Warband and CK2 (and those two games sequels) that are genuinely good, but I'll always be wary of Game of Thrones games and RTS games in the modern day. Especially with how they always try to make it fit well for mobile at the cost of the game itself.
Oh and apparently some Japanese person leaked the game months ago on reddit.
There'd probably be an awful Hollywood adaptation if the game was successful.
my experience is more or less the opposite even their shitty not exactly a mobile game game was still leagues more effort then most and I don't think it was just people throwing money at it
it actually had branching paths short ones but still.
I always chalked it up to being blatantly appealing to an adult audience that even out of touch millionaire's can understand so devs get more free reign in implementing their bullshit instead of settling for the same crash grab every single one of those "kingdom builders" does.

Looking up the one I was thinking, it's got a steam and mobile port, but it was actually a fucking browser game. But they have a SHIT TON.
Reigns is probably the best game on there, and that's just a spin off of the actual Reigns game. Reigns is such a neat idea of a game, even if it's clearly got mobile in mind. It actually uses that to its benefit, it's a game that is easily enjoyable as some time killer on the computer.
to be clear it's still mobile slop just better mobile slop then what i was used to. stil la useless energy bar still arbitrary timers ect. no idea which one it was.
