As an old fag who played the original release I got annoyed very quickly that Golden felt centered around her dumbass

It was worse in Royal with that one chick I dunno tho I only played that for a hour before I was like "yep I've played 5 already" so she might not be as bad

I havent played Royal but i think the big new content they added isnt focused on Kasumi so they didnt quite repeat the Marie thing

During the old Persona 5 story, she's only there superficially and you can't even add her to your party. And when her story starts, you can take her out of the party for 95% of it, as I have done.
I found her presence inoffensive and the new antagonist is pretty interesting, so he makes the experience of the Royal content.

Design and Aesthetic is on point along with the Symbolism that comes from the Persona (Cinderella makes sense Sumire vs Kasumi) the only thing I actively dislike about her is her Codename Violet is kind of lame.

The Horn of the Abyss mod for HoMMIII, a more than 25 year old game, is now available on GOG. so I thought this might be a a good opportunity to talk about all the stuff surrounding the Heroes of Might & Magic series this year.

A book is being written about the extensive history of the series by one of the former game developers. He says he will touch upon the main Might & Magic series as well, going back to when Jon Van Caneghem was taking mail orders out of his basement.

The Horn of the Abyss team is already working on releasing on a new faction.

And a new entry in the series, Olden Era, should be out sometime soon. We'll see how well it holds up to the series' reputation.

It warms my heart how much love this series still gets after all these years. Anyone else play these games? I know we have some slavs here...

I played a lot of both Heroes of Might & Magic II and III back in the '90s and 2000s. I even had Heroes II on my phone for a while, although that was mostly just because I wanted a game that I could play without internet access.

Game of Thrones RTS looks interesting, a surprise to see in this event

My mind went to Battle for Middle Earth, I really do think the property is dying for a good game seeing as how it has mods based on it for Warband and CK2 (and those two games sequels) that are genuinely good, but I'll always be wary of Game of Thrones games and RTS games in the modern day. Especially with how they always try to make it fit well for mobile at the cost of the game itself.
Oh and apparently some Japanese person leaked the game months ago on reddit.

My mind went to Battle for Middle Earth, I really do think the property is dying for a good game seeing as how it has mods based on it for Warband and CK2 (and those two games sequels) that are genuinely good, but I'll always be wary of Game of Thrones games and RTS games in the modern day. Especially with how they always try to make it fit well for mobile at the cost of the game itself.

it actually had branching paths short ones but still.
I always chalked it up to being blatantly appealing to an adult audience that even out of touch millionaire's can understand so devs get more free reign in implementing their bullshit instead of settling for the same crash grab every single one of those "kingdom builders" does.

They have a lot of mobile games, like...a lot. That are mobile-mobile games.
Looking up the one I was thinking, it's got a steam and mobile port, but it was actually a fucking browser game. But they have a SHIT TON.

Reigns is probably the best game on there, and that's just a spin off of the actual Reigns game. Reigns is such a neat idea of a game, even if it's clearly got mobile in mind. It actually uses that to its benefit, it's a game that is easily enjoyable as some time killer on the computer.

All it really means is they had supply at that level for launch. The physical consoles and even the switch 1 just didn't. Which does suggest Nintendo shipped out a bunch of them early to avoid Tariff issues. Early consoles are likely to be the most expensive to produce, so console makers want to get them out but limit the impact on total revenue. However, Nintendo never sells at a loss, so there is that.

I think it sells well through about 20-25 million units in the first 18 months, but I think it's long tail won't kick off for years. Everything is going to be cross-gen for a long time. I really think it's the PS3 again. It'll do well but Nintendo is probably going to need to think about bringing out the OLED early and the next product a year early. The big sign is when they force TPC to release all Pokemon games only on the 2.
