I think it's fine except for the cornrows. Knowing them, there's going to be an alt skin that's just way better like Vengeance Psylocke.Blade teased. A rare bad design for Rivals, I'd say. Give me a Snipes-version alt, thank you.

I have recently picked up Adam Warlock for totally unrelated reasons. So the new point of frustration with Rivals is running out of pings trying to get your ranged teammates to look up for once and do something about the Johnny/Storm duo cooking the backline for free.![]()
There's also nameplates for the Chinese Lunar events, so I wouldn't bet on it.If you check the blade is missing event Ratatoskr has a nameplate as one of the rewards something so far reserved only for heroes. So either Ratatoskr is a upcoming hero or they changed their minds?
Just how much yakuza do I need to play to enjoy the pirate game. I have no idea what happens from yakuza 5 onwards and if I'm being honest the ichiban games don't look that good and majima's pirate trip seems stupid fun.Been knee deep in Pirate Yakuza while feverish. For a gaiden game with only 5 chapters of story, there's alot of meat and fat to this one. If you particularly enjoy Yakuza games for the side content, this one's for you. But it is very much a direct sequel to the eighth main game with the main plot being very much tied to the previous game and multiple substories being followups to Infinite Wealth's substories. Makes sense when its the same setting 6 months later in-game. I'm 22 hours in and I haven't finished chapter 2.
You can play it if you're really down for some pirate fun. They do at least a brief summary of events in the previous game from an outsider's POV. It sort of helps that Majima has amnesia this time around so its not like he knows what happened either. Its not the most new friendly game in the series but its alot more friendly than Gaiden was, that's one in the series I'd say you should have played 6 and 7, and honestly 0-5, beforehand.Just how much yakuza do I need to play to enjoy the pirate game. I have no idea what happens from yakuza 5 onwards and if I'm being honest the ichiban games don't look that good and majima's pirate trip seems stupid fun.
Agreed with most of your points. I do think torch is a little better then you let on though he is still a ranged nuker with really good damageAfter playing the new Marvel Rivals patch:
Actually not that amazing. He moves very slow in the air and is an easy target against hitscan characters. His area denial is very strong at chokepoints but his ability to fight in big open areas has issues. Typically making a huge pyro-prison in that area can do work as it fucks with everyone in that area but that shit HATES anything other than a flat surface. You'll often come across spots where it just has a small lip that cuts off the firewall and now it's not an enclosed prison and it won't do the ticking damage inside the box. Just call this fucker Professor X because he's countered by stairs, as some stairs fuck up firewalls while some consistently allow them. His primary fire is very weak as you typically want to be at range, so it suffers stiff damage falloff and spreads too much. It's basically a shotgun that does okay damage at close range but Punisher's shotgun hits twice as hard. His air-to-air combat is hilariously bad. Iron Man should easily win all dogfights due to unibeam while Storm's projectiles are far faster, her alt fire is hitscan, and she can hit him with the goddess boost to damage if he tries to close the distance to fully utilize his shotgun primary fire. Unlike the other 2, Johnny really wants to be up high to get good angles on his flame fields while Iron Man and Storm are perfectly fine sitting near the ground.
He can stomp shitters if he isn't focused and they're fighting at a flat area but against decent players, it's going to take a lot of work. He pretty much requires a map with most of the combat in narrow or flat areas like Yggdrasil convoy. Maybe he'll become a lot stronger when people figure out all the premier pyro-prison positions.Pretty decent but has definite issues as a solo tank, definitely strong in dual tank setups. Turning "hold to dash" off in his settings is pretty much required so you can instant cancel it to create the anti-mobility zone against people like Spider-Man and BP. He is easily the worst tank in the game against flyers, as every other tank either has a ranged attack, a way to drag them down (Hulk), or a mid-range attack to hit them (Venom). Venom's primary fire has 15m range while The Thing's longest attack is his alt fire for 8m range, so you have to sit right underneath them to hit them and assume they don't fly too far up. If anything, he plays like a Venom that desperately wants to get in your backline to cleave everyone but he lacks the durability to stay there. While he has 700 HP (compared to Venom's 650 HP), his 200 HP shield from his dash instantly disappears after he gets there and his haymaker only gives a 50 HP shield on use (although it is spammable). Venom on the other hand can pop a bubble for a shitload of health.
He's still going to be relevant (likely a solid pick) simply for countering high mobility characters and his anti-mobility zone can stop targets from escaping when he dives in with a Venom and another dive DPS.I really don't like this map. The building around the first capture point goes through a "reversed destruction" mechanic like Midtown but the whole interior of the building changes, including the floor, and suddenly you're getting lifted through the building and it completely fucks up your positioning. All 3 of the capture areas are really rough to hold as there's a huge lack of cover to utilize and using what cover there is will potentially put you into an isolated spot from your team, making you easy to pick off with how many off-angles there are on this map. It feel like there's 1 decent chokepoint for each section but if you lose it, you're completely fucked and that whole section is over.
I really enjoyed Midtown but this map is feeling like a tie with my least favorite map (Hell's Heaven).
I heard BG3 runs pretty decently on the Deck but there's a few parts of Act 3 where you get performance issues due to how Act 3 is.Picked up the Steam Deck for my 40th birthday a few weeks ago. Surprised at how much it's motivated me to chew through my backlog. Allows me to play a decent chunk of my library while hanging out and watching the kid (instead of just watching Disney films on loop and doomscrolling my phone.) Thus far beaten Nine Sols, Guacamelee 1 and 2, and am trying out Etrian Odyssey a bit before Wilds comes out in a few days and dominates my life. I expect it's going to be flipflopping between JRPGs and Action Combat games for a bit.
