Holy shit, sounds like they straight up did lift the Ripper. And that made the game unplayable? Boy modern developers are ass. Back then, the Ripper was just one of many crazy weapons, and was a tricky one that was in no way overpowered compared to the rest.

Gunt is a cowboy game about very low RoF cowboy weapons that do big damage, take fucking forever to reload and one shot headshots, plus very slow movement. Adding a spammable explosive sawblade gun kinda goes against that and ruins the whole game. Sure, you had some spammable guns like the mauser and the officer nagant before, or dual wield etc, etc. but none were to the level of the sawblade spammer.

i suspect they mean low effort ports of mobile games with a "view ad for free energy" thing. otherwise they would have to remove like every sports game for using real life brands. the new spiderman games as well since I'm pretty sure they do it as well hell a lot of Sony games do the in universe advertisement for real world products.

Edit: just as a reminder it's much easier to draft a policy with wide reaching implications even if you only plan to apply it to a very select number.

Come to think of it this might have been a greentext originally, but it was funny to see the BG3 developers confirm the first. I wonder if it's ever occurred to them that any of the "inclusive" options they add are only ever going to be used for the third, if at all.
