Potential holiday release for 3D Mario to really boost the fuck out of sales? Guess my estimation of Year 1 Mario Kart 9 and 3D Mario could be right. It playing RDR2 is a nice little tech demo to show off the power of the console and show viability for future releases.
Also retail Canada price is $400? Isn't that like $280 USD? He must have meant in USD because that's pocket change for that powerful of a console, that would be a deathshot to their competitors.
My major question is that this comes out just a few days after the release of Monster Hunter Wilds. I wonder if Nintendo is crazy enough to secure a graphically weaker version of that on the new system if the date is real. I still intend to get it for PC, but for many countries snagging it for Switch 2 will be the overwhelming choice.
I remember playing these in the arcade close home when I was a kid, what did they do to my baby.
It would be the smart move, it would immediately secure Japan and kill any remaining relevance Sony has in that market. I'm betting the reason why we've seen so many leaks is because Nintendo has been giving dev kits to tons of studios. They realized what made Sony strong in the PS2 era wasn't their 1st party games but their 3rd party catalogue and in recent years, Nintendo has been really good at cultivating that.
If it actually winds up being ~$300 USD and has something like a ps4 in terms of power with a good battery life it gives people who are thinking about a Steam Deck (lowest priced Steam Deck is $399 USD) an alternative. Only big downside is that you're likely not going to be emulating anything (that isn't by Nintendo (assuming they're smart and just have NSO and all the emulators there ported to Switch2)) on it like with a steam deck.
I don't personally doubt Nintendo would sell it with that pricing because they've (hopefully) learned that overpricing a new console tends to turn some potential buyers away. FOMO is strong especially if they're finally giving us Mario Kart 9.
I actually have 3 PSTVs (one for my home, one for my office when I was still going into the office for work, and one backup) and one regular Vita. Coincidentally, I actually decided to finally bite the bullet and hack one of the PSTVs Tuesday of this week). Have you seen the prices on Vita memory cards? Actually, I guess used ones aren't too bad, but they're still more expensive than a standard SD card and smaller.
Well, I have the cartridge for Freedom Wars and that allows me to play it on my PSTV even with the small sized memory cards I have (I only have two decently sized one, 16gb and 32gb and the 32gb is permanently in my actual Vita). Anyway, I will still likely get the remaster eventually.
I didn't get it out of storage to play Freedom Wars, but to play Soul Sacrifice Delta. Silly me though, I forgot Soul Sacrifice Delta is incompatible with unhacked PSTVs. I wish they would remaster that too, but with Playstation studios gone I doubt that will ever happen. I only saw the news about the remaster of Freedom Wars after I had successfully hacked one of them this week, coincidence is funny like that.
I'm not too worried about more heroes. Surprisingly I haven't seen too much of Mr Fantastic. He's durable as fuck but he just doesn't seem to be much of a threat, especially with his ult. Sue hasn't been anything special while Luna and Mantis are more of a bitch to deal with.
Adding too many too quickly dilutes the pool and whether they're able to make them feel unique on a fast pace is also questionable.
He is surprisingly fair, and yeah his ult is kind of meh.
Her ult is annoying, but not gamebreaking, and i'm sure people will figure out how to use her push/pulls in a good way soon enough, but for now, yeah.
half of the issue is invisibility locked down to an area still sucks ass since most ranged heroes have some kind of splash damage and can just fire into it blind.

Her ult can be annoying but what has really pissed me off is Strange and Sue pocketing Punisher with bubbles as he sits in his fag turret. Even worse if they got a rocket to throw down an ammo dispenser when he eventually gets out of the turret.
I'm not sure about the new leaks. Some of the picks are beyond Z-tier characters if they're true.
And Jeff The Land Shark and Luna Snow aren't? I mean maybe they aren't but i sure didn't know about either until i played this game.
I think it was mentioned they plan to release two heroes a season? With this season being an exception due to the Fantastic 4. People seem to expect Blade and Ultron season 2, with Phoenix and Emma Frost Season 3.
I'm perfectly fine with this. It's already enough of a A-list roster giving some attention to forgotten or little known characters is great.
I personally wish we could get more villains/Anti-heroes on the roster. Give me the Brotherhood. Give me the Sinister Six. Fuck, give me Baron Zemo and the Red Skull you fucking cowards.
And seasons are what, 3 months? Then yeah, good enough pace.
Agreed and one can only hope, with Ultron being pretty much guaranteed, that more are coming.
