I think con appearances are important, even though it means less streams for people who aren't interested much or can't attend them(like me). It gives something to people who are fine with going. It allows talents to interact with community in a way they can't through chat, motivating them. A lot of indies get Fomo when they don't participate for example. Especially if its for 3D, which is something a lot of vtubers want to do. Lia was pretty emotional while announcing it
