That's a good satire of the DNC. Part of democracy is having the option not to vote, and the crazy thing many people don't get is there are countries out there that mandate you vote which have incredibly low freedom. In fact, the Soviet Union had elections, and modern Russia still has elections, even North Korea lets its people vote, but the scariest thing to a false democracy/republic is when people realize that their vote doesn't mean shit.

At least Bush vs. Gore had some debate, recounts, hanging chads, and more. The last time around, despite all the outcry the system rushed results and buried their head in the sand.

Also, to your point about voting mandates in so called democratic countries, I live in a country with this system however its not casting a vote that is mandatory, it's having your name marked off the voting role. You can then just walk straight out or donkey vote. They will also take practically any excuse for not attending, or worst case, you pay the fine and go about your day.

Some of the benefits of having 100% turnout is that you have a very clear idea of what the population wants, cheating is difficult & the general populace is slightly more likely to be politically engaged because they want to make an informed choice.

No, this is bullshit, as even in Russia you can have 140% of a district vote for a candidate. Voting is retarded and it's easy to manipulate whether through registering illegals or simply fudging numbers. More so, what's the point, why is it ok that you get fucked because slightly more people said you should get fucked? We no longer live in a world where voting makes sense, at least not in the US, we should be able to move and organize, and make the change we want but because we're all enslaved to this retarded voting system and a federal nanny state we will never be able to establish cities that test preconceived notions or delicate sensibilities even if the land is vastly available. I simply don't understand how humanity is so pathetic.

I am not in an evacuation zone but I am also not particularly far from them. Fully expecting to be hit hard and knocked off the grid/Internet for days, unless I get lucky I guess. Am currently phonefagging but once I get my shit proper sorted and all that's left is to hunker down and wait, I'll try to come back in the afternoon on my PC a bit to shitpost and check shit before I get rocked. I haven't checked Discord in one day and I'm pretty sure i literally have 500 notifications to read
