I agree with Pippa, I would rather a sandbox game with less talking than one that is heavy in story. I think that's why I like Morrowind more than Oblivion or Skyrim, the story was much more in the background and you could ignore while enjoying the game regardless.

I also liked Vanilla WoW way more than any expansion, I like feeling like it's a world of stuff where you can do some part of the effort in the world, even if you do everything in the world, as opposed to "Champion we need you to diddle the newest enemy or we're all dead, you're the only one who can do anything about them, and ignore everything, just focus on them, you need to lust for them."

I think both of those would be too complicated, not sure about Factorio, but PoE requires like three pieces of third-party software to be comfortable.
