You would think that these streamers would stop what they are doing when a big raid comes in to interact with chat. Most people will see POE2 gaming and leave. If I was a streamer I would have some material & banter ready to go to try and retain some viewers.

I mean, go for it. It's not garbage, absolutely not, but the mechanical downgrade compared to PoE is colossal, not to mention resurrecting multiple design problems PoE has already solved. Visual and audio design, art, animations, general feel of this game are all brilliant and beyond what i expected of GGG, bu-ut here i am, waiting for the next PoE league to come out.

I'm of the opposite mindset, show people what you're about with your content. If someone sits around glad-handing for 10-20 mins after a big raid I'm probably gone by the time they start to show what their actual streams are like.

This, and it's annoying to the audience who were already there if the stream they were watching gets derailed by a raid. Just welcome in the raiders, have a bit of banter if the situation allows, then continue with business as normal.
Or die of a heart attack over and over, that's also entertaining.
I'm just saying that a bit of pandering goes a long way when a big raid comes in. I'm not talking about some raid from a 2 view. They don't have to derail stream the whole stream.
Just seems like an opportunity lost.
I think this is one of those judgement calls the streamer has to make depending on what they're doing and the tone/energy of the raiding viewers.
Also internet clout < PoE gains
Shiina was raided by Pippa after a huge stream and Shiina was interacting with Pippa's incoming chat, and took an interest in the content Pippa's previous stream for a decent amount of time before going back on-topic, and managed to leverage that raid into a fairly significant sub boost at the time for her. I'm sure there are converse examples of streamers who do a quick ten-second thanks and an introduction to where the stream is at before returning to the content they were doing before and do quite well with a raid from a talent with a large audience.
Both ways can work, it's all about context and leveraging the raided streamer's strengths.
Who knows. While all the other kids watched Nickelodeon I was hooked on Cartoon Network (SGC2C was my god back then), so all the old Hannah-Barbera stuff they would replay is burned in my mind.
