Well Uruka could stand to either sharpen her knives or buy some new ones cause girl was strugglin' during her cooking stream the other night.
People connected to corpos told me stuff so I don't think it's unreasonable, if Bossman ever helped them with something -bitching about it or not, he does have some information- they would be more open to share. There's a weird climate of orphaned vtubers, paranoid about every interaction, and if you're nice or help them with something you will get in their trust list as betrayal seems pretty frequent and they want to keep the good ones around.
It's just like a big highschool.
That's pretty-much it. Thank you for understanding. I've lamented before that this industry is so toxic that vtubers will quite happily talk to someone like me rather than their own genmates, because those are the people they're in direct competition with.
I'll also say that it's just a pure myth that being in a big corporation makes vtubers stop talking to outsiders. It neglects the fact that almost every big corporate vtuber out there has been through 2-3 corporations before, sometimes many more. Their social circles are enormous, to the point that any five LIGS together likely have at least 80-90% of all the vtubers who share their languages in their contact lists on some level. They do not stop talking to each other just because they get into corporations.
Besides that, just ask yourselves; how would corporations police any of this? How would Phase Connect know if I'd reached out to Emi, or Airi, or Panko, or Pippa? They all have open socials of some kind that I or anyone else could reach out to. Private Discord accounts are a five-minute setup. It is absolutely impossible to prevent this kind of thing happening. How do you think FalseEyeD gets his info? Sure, he sits on it until the entire rest of the world already knows so he can safely make an 'INSANE VTUBER SITUATION!!!!' newspost about it, but I can guarantee you beyond any doubt that he has people in corporations as big as Phase regularly talking to him.
Let me be clear; I'm not claiming I have big contacts. But I do not like it when people say that women in an industry like this would not speak to people like me if given the chance. There is this air of untouchability about vtubers here that I don't like and feel is not warranted. I don't like it when people say their oshi couldn't possibly be talking to a dramatuber or leaking information, because this goes against basic human nature. I don't want people to be drawn into the realms of magical celebrity thinking where they don't remember that these are just people, with all the irrational and illogical behaviors that people regularly exhibit.
I think people massively overestimate what I 'vaguepost' about. Most of what I say is my own opinion with no extra information attached or implications contained within it. I learned my lesson months ago that people don't want to take what I say on faith and would rather I say nothing than say something without a source. I don't know what I need to do to correct this. Should I start explicitly prefacing my posts with 'this is not a vaguepost'?
We won't take what ANYONE says on faith, it's not just you. This is rule number 1 of
Word of mouth is the weakest source of evidence there is.
Edit: and don't take this personally, but I do not think any vtuber who spills the beans to you is a smart one. Not because it's you personally, but because if you want to or need to keep something secret, telling random strangers you don't know online is the worst fucking option available, and that includes online """friends""" which you talk to over discord twice a week. If you need mental health help then talk to a psychologist, it really speaks to the deplorable state of society that people resort to strangers over actual family or friends.
It's really damn funny because this site is a farms splinter, a site which anyone who lurks it for even a day instills in them the principles of OPSEC and keeping shit to yourself because once it's online it will always be and to what deranged lengths people will go to to gather info.

This is very true, anyone that used the boards or was around the discords back then would know most of EN vtubing is a small group of people skinwalking multiple models.
This is slowly changing because there are newcomers and just young people getting into it, vtubing itself is breaking the normiesphere little by little and it's been around 10 years after all.

I'll bite... From a newfag perspective, the stuff that you provably predicted within my time here has been relegated to small corpo shenanigans and small indie things, outside of vagueposts that could be interpreted a myriad of different ways or (as you mention) might just be your own opinion that simply came true. There's no denying that you talk to some people but as far as I can tell there's no evidence that you're actually talking to any big name players (i.e. insider info on Holo, Phase, some 4 view indie, etc). Now obviously you could be, and the information they are okay with you are sharing could be so limited it would be impossible to prove - but as God's Strongest Dragoon already said, you do own a VTuber gossip site (frequently referred to as a doxx site that's supposedly even more evil than the 4chan boogeyman) so I couldn't blame people in important industry positions for wanting to stay way the fuck away no matter how trustworthy you are to your sources.
As much as I love to join in the forum culture and give Proctor shit, this I absolutely believe him on. I haven't spoken to any of the actual girls as far as I'm aware, but my sperging about EIEN had some sources to back it up and I know enough to strongly believe a couple of the EIEN girls were posting some of the rrats in /eien/, so I 100% believe there are VTubers out there who would respond to Proctor if he slid in their DMs... Holos? Maybe not. But definitely some.
To be fair, There could be one possible Phase L: Hina has been MIA for quite some time (2 months), I am not too sure what she is up to right now. I knew she appeared in some stream, but her channel has no activity at all

Proctor has never, to my knowledge, directly hinted at having insider information from any of the top-5 EN corpos(holoen, nijien, vshojo, phase, and, uhh, fuck i can only count 4), and, unlike when he posts about micro-corpos, his posts on bigger agencies have always seemingly been just his own speculation.
If he does have such insider information, he's keeping it well under wraps.
On this though, yeah, agreed. Gossip has been a thing for as long as complex societies have been a thing, people talk behind other peoples backs all the damn time, and while responding to a person known for running a gossip forum and occasionally vagueposting about his precious insider info is a stupid thing to do, we all know that a lot of those women aren't exactly beacons of intelligence.

Was hilarious at the time, and I think she was taking it pretty well all things considered.
As for Rie herself, I don't watch her as much, but I actually do like her. She was actually one of the first vtubers I membered to a long time back, though I haven't been membered to her in a bit because my card expired and I never renewed the membership. Pretty sure it was after she played Spooky's Jump Scare Mansion, or whatever that game is called, and I found it funny. Her streams are a little much for me at times, but I'll pop in from time to time or watch a vod. I also think she's a talented musician and has done some great work for Phase regarding music.
