I've been wondering about the differences in the recruitment process between JP and EN branches because when it comes down to it, they're essentially taking similar paths (hiring known internet personalities and those within their circles, maybe a literal who once in a while) but JP manages to coup more success while EN keeps trying to shoot themselves in the foot just because of few mismanaged situation

I really can't see this process working for much longer post-Selen drama, unless they really shake up their recruitment process. Niji no longer offers the numbers or the business opportunities, and as we saw in the CyYu clip they aren't willing to be flexible with maintaining "past life" activity at all - so why would anyone who is already established join? They'd be back down to 3view status, have more restrictions and bureaucracy to deal with, while handing over a cut of their revenue for the effort.

It's actually absurd how much Niji clamp down on work outside the company compared to Hololive, when they offer so little in exchange.

Goddamn. Voice packs should be the easiest mech to sell, all you have to do is send the right file to someone's email, and it should all be automated. How do you possibly mess that up?

Remove some of them and screw up linking between order and item it corresponds to. Either the backend is done like shit, or some angry manager got his greasy fingers into it and now an intern will spend the weekend trying to go through thousands of items to make sure everything is fixed

I wonder if the songs are written before casting is finished, if someone who can't sing gets a role/model that has a spotlight what happens. I can believe Cheapsanji would just say oh well we aren't changing anything.

Niji also supposedly have a history of half assing projects and not paying people. It might be the case where these songs and covers have less than stellar production on them. The "Do just enough" so that it sounds fine to most people.


Sidenote:It's definitely possible to make bad singers sound presentable, just look at Phase Connect's group songs. Those songs included Dizzy, Pippa, and Lia; talents who are not great at singing.

One of Zaion's anecdotes in One Girl's Story was that she was told to record her lines for Xsoliel's debut song in October within a week, before ever hearing any of her genmates' voices. She asked for her deadline to be pushed back because she was going to Twitchcon. Then she had to submit her lines twice because her first recording was rejected due to background noise. The song was uploaded 6 December. There doesn't seem to be room in there for composing to the cast (Advent's debut song shows what I mean by this) or assigning parts. Composing would be done before recording in any case, but if recording was done before Zaion got to hear her genmates, the producer probably didn't have that much more time to tell what they had to work with.

You know, people say this, but frankly a majority of Niji JP is made up of competent or amazing singers.
Even guys like Kanae and Kuzuha (who are mostly FPS guys) or the ROF-MAO boys (mostly comedy, zatsu, and variety content) release amazing covers and original music. It's just wild to me that JP has so many well-rounded talents (even weirdos like Leos Vincent can sing), while EN has what, five good singers? Of course, they do invest in training for the JP side that I really don't think they provide for the EN branch so I guess it isn't the fairest of comparisons.

They (Niji offices) probably have known connections in JP to music people who can train the talent, but outside of JP it's likely "don't know, don't care to learn," which is how their whole overseas process seems to (not) work.

The legs are really fucked but at least it isn't noticeable when he's streaming from the waist up. The hands and arms are turbo fucked though, what the fuck is that? His hands are bigger than his head and his elbows reach his waist, it looks like he can reach his kneecaps while standing straight up.
