TLDW: unalive levels of rushed slop are even worse than we thought. From this testament, Captain is pumping numbers up to pull wool over investors eyes, or even potential buyer. Classic pump&dump.

Crossposting this here for convenience: @frz posted a summary of this video in the General thread.

Anilive has only been here for less than 8 months and they have had only about 173 vtubers if you count Nexas & Prism
Only 20 waves of debuted vtubers not counting Nexas and Prism.
Props to whoever the fuck at the wikia keeping headcount.
The grand plan is probs 300 vtuber by the end of uh... april 2025?

Woman applied and found out things that literally everyone with a brain knew beforehand and graduated. A certain Miki... actually you don't give a fuck and never will who she is.
- Anilive pays $300 a month for newly debut vtuber, only applies for 3 months after debut. The main reason why people applied. What these dumbasses doesn't realize, with the 30 mandatory hours a week, they are doing about ~400 hours for $900 which would be $2.25/hour. Far below what you can get working in McDonald.
- Clearly using shitty AI to rig. Has generative AI job listing on linked in. IRIAM also use AI for rigging but it's a lot better, better than utter trash (Anilive), but still a lot better.
- Plagiarism allegation of copy pasting popular female anime characters.
- Staff doesn't exist and often ghost vtubers (woman they have 173 vtubers, use your fucking brain, no way they have 173 managers to deal with your shit)
- Anilive hosts in-app events which has prizes like a $1000 iphone which their vtubers participated in, staffs never delivered said prize after announcing the winner and ghosted them. This happened many times. Among the fake prizes are billboard advertisement in Akibahara & one in New York.
- Staffs slide into random vtweeters' DM asking them to join anilive, including people who are ALREADY in anilive. Actually got flagged and banned by Twitter for spam from time to time.

people who are dumb enough, seeing $900 and think of it as free money. Not realizing they are working at 1/10th the minimum wage.

Sheep is streaming. I guess there'll be a VOD, but would appreciate an archive anyway, just in case. She seems very positive.

Most unsurprising failure in recent memory; ridiculous and completely impossible promises made by an obvious grifter to bait in the gullible and wring them dry. I want to feel bad for the people who got/are getting fucked over but I'll be honest, I just don't have it in me to pity the variety of dipshit stupid enough to put their faith in this dishonest assclown and his Potemkin streaming platform with it's inevitable collapse guaranteed from day one and visible from deep space.

Good fucking riddance. Maybe after this year people will learn to stop trusting small corpos that are very obviously poorly run and headed for failure with their futures in the entertainment industr- HAHAHAHAHA no sorry nevermind couldn't keep a straight face.

I can't believe the company that turned corpo vtubing into a "last man standing" battle tournament anime failed. How could this have happened?

Oh Em Gee, why? Why did it fail? I thought Harry was the self-proclaimed second coming of Yagoo. Was it because they partnered with a fledgling streaming platform or is it because of noombing the talents without building them up properly? It's like they were just in it for the money but instead got burned. Hopefully he lost a significant amount so that it'll be hard for him to pull off another grift like this.

Who could have imagined fighting for internal resources wasn't a sound business strategy afterall. How does Niji and Holo manage to pull it off? :ameliaThink:

Who even makes money like that? I understand investor scamming but no way all of this didnt turn into a loss somehow

Maybe the real grift is the vtuber model
Make shitty vtuber model with $20 budget using AI
Let the chuuba gets attached to model, sell them for $300
Have 10000 vtubers that's easy 2,800,000 USD in profit
Totally how it works, flawless logic.

Same kind of people who ask "why isn't uber profitable"

I actually didn't. I thought they might last a year or 2
Closing shop in 6 months is very strange. And they only debuted like 2 wave?

My best guess is that Anilive found out it's cheaper to just straight debut scam victimsvtuber themselves rather than going through NEXAS
And without Anilive money to pay NEXAS's 2 staffs the company went under real quick.
