Considering her progress as of late I think it's a good idea that she lay off the psychotropic shit and focus on actual physical health. Mind altering drugs should be a last resort but call me crazy.
I would be skeptical if a psychiatrist prescribed them, and she got them from a general practitioner, and if your going on that shit you should have some one you know watch you closely.
GPs tend to prescribe shit as a means to CYA. If a nutter who came to see you did some fucked up shit and then reported that when they visited you you didn't provide them with "options" it could bite you in the ass. Psychiatrists entire living relies on pushing at least SOME meds on people with the intention being long term use.
