Kinetic novels seem to be a game because they are played on a gaming system, but don't seem to really be a game as it's compared to a DVD or CD in most cases. Visual Novels are more of a game though.

Technically that's a lot of triple A gaming now, you press the button to make the story move along with little to no options.
Yes Pippa, kinetic novels are missing the one feature that makes them a game, interaction.
