This thread is reserved for the discussion of Large Indie Vtubers.
A 'large indie vtuber' is roughly defined as the following; any independent, non-corporate-affiliated vtuber who regularly reaches 500 or surpasses 500 CCV combined on all platforms.
In other words, a vtuber that gets 450 CCV on Youtube and 50 CCV on Twitch is a large indie. They don't need to surpass 500 CCV on one, singular platform.
Indies in groups such as V-Dere do not count as corporate vtubers. They are counted as indies who are networking together for growth and community purposes. A vtuber does not become corporate until their brand is directly linked to a company.
Vtubers with dedicated threads may still be discussed/promoted here, but liveposting should be reserved to their thread.
NOTE: A vtuber raided being raided by a larger creator for a few streams doesn't make them a large indie. The exact definition of a large indie is left purposefully vague to avoid rules-lawyering and autistic slapfights, but as a general rule of thumb, any streamer that can maintain 500-600CCV for one month can be safely deemed a large indie. It is also acceptable to talk about LIs who have 'fallen off' due to long hiatuses or personal disasters which might have caused a sharp drop in CCV, so long as it's reasonable to conclude that they might return to LI status with continued effort.
All potential disputes about whether a vtuber is worthy of being discussed here should be handled via reports to the staff.
