On the other hand the eternal question of who VirtualReal belongs to remains: Is it a Niji property or a Bilibili property and who should it go under?

I remember there being a forum post buried on this site that went into more detail on it. Really just depends on your POV on whether something similar like 774 Inc an anycolor property or not. AFAIK VirtuaReal uses tracking software by Anycolor (similar to 774) and I think the models come from Anycolor but is completely managed and dealt with by Bili. Though their streamers occasionally pop up for international collabs back in the day.

People on reddit are saying BiliBili holds the majority of it and that seems to be accurate. Many of the known VRP staffers are BiliBili employees that work on other things apart from VRP as well.

I'll make 774 at some point but "using tech from" isn't a strong enough connector imo, Niji licensing for shanghai/taipei and VR being a joint project with Bili are much stronger ties imo.

Well, since nobody in general is interested in giving suggestions, I will just have to go with my own pick.
Next project will be 774 inc. the last piece needed to connect all current charts together.

If I run into any nonsense I'll be sure to pose questions.

Edit: Already found something interesting, apparently 774 started as some kind of app development subsidiary of Adways, a massive fucking nip corporation. I haven't found objective proof but it seems that at some point it got handed off to a guy called Akihiko Nishioka, who's both the CEO of 774 and also a board member in Adways.

I know. Shiromiya and Camomi were also indies and will be presented as such, this was just me trying to roughly build how it's gonna look (which characters need to face the edges so that they can connect to the outside)

Well, things happened, I became autistically frustrated with how non-standard some shit was getting so I am now making pre-fabs of every single element possible so that all charts are the same in all aspects possible in preparation for starting to put them together in one big image.

774 will get to be the guinea pig for this new style and format revision and then I'll decide if I wanna update the others or begin making new ones when I finish this.

New features I will bundle into the change:
>Switching from American Date system (M/D/Y) to International system (D/M/Y)
>Debut/Founding dates for all Vtubers, Branches and Companies if avaliable
>Dissolution Date for Companies/Branches if applicable
>Will experiment with Branch names on the top instead of the bottom
>Will experiment with new format for pseudo-branches/unofficial branches

Any suggestions on format changes MAKE THEM NOW.

You could also do timeline-style like wikipedia does for j/kpop groups. That might not jive with however you want it to look in the end.
IDK if you're going to label graduations vs terminations/retirements/indefinite hiatuses, eg. Haibara Akane got put on hiatus for a few months then retired without a peep after cussing at her manager on stream.
If you have all of your stuff as a spreadsheet, you can turn it into a database and pull organization charts. fun sql problem.

Met will be added on the 774 chart in Brave like this


Same as transfers from Brave to Vivion or Bandai were handled, though I am thinking of a way to make it less hideous.

Temporary hiatuses are not labeled, neither are temporary graduations (happened once with sasaki saku), but the final "death of character" is labelled appropriately as graduation/termination/whatever else, indefinite hiatuses only get marked after one year without any streams, as are unannounced absences.
