First, you can have glasses-wearing girls take them off and suddenly become beautiful, or have girls wearing glasses flashing those cute grins, or have girls stealing the protagonist's glasses and putting them on like, "Haha, got your glasses!" I think she's starting to realize how much of her ccv are the types of /vt/ posters who typically go unseen during Gura streams due to the sheer volume of chat posts
There's only really a few options I think: 1. It comes back sometime. a. IRyS was feeling nostalgic or something and management said 'OK'. b. Management mandates, 'hey use your old model for this event'*. 2. It never comes back. a. Management said 'no'. b. IRyS doesn't want to use it.
I get the impression that, while she had a lot of complaints about it personally, she recognizes that a lot of people love 1.0 and she has her own nostalgia for it because of that. Also she clearly loves playing with PNG's and may see some stuff that she'd rather stick on 1.0 than 2.0.
So I'd guess either 1a or 2a as being the most likely scenarios in the future.
*For a hypothetical situation: There are Amogus stickers and keychains for everyone in hololive now. Imagine there's a semi-sponsored amogus stream a month from now after 2.0 debuts, but Cover tells everyone to use the model that is represented in the merch.
It's ok for black people to be racist against asians and Kyo apparently has a hood-pass, so he can hate on Asians all he wants. Remember how quickly #StopAsianHate faded away once people actually saw the statistics and videos of what was happening?
You don't use that cosplay, with that smiley on display, carving that pumpkin face, without knowing exactly what kind of audience you have.
