God her voice is so grating. She might be funny and based or whatever but I'll never be able to look past the specific combo of loli model + loli voice. The obvious pedobaiting on her part is gross and makes me appreciate other loli tubers like Gura and Shiina in contrast.


Speaking of. As coombaity as Shiina's model is on the surface, from the little bits and pieces I've seen of her, she doesn't really seem to show it off a ton or do a lot of stuff that would otherwise suggest she's being like FS. I have an extreme dislike for lolis and the pedophiles that tend to stick to them like flies on shit, but it's an inevitable part of anime and vtuber culture, so if I find a vtuber whose content and personality I enjoy, and doesn't lean into the loli aspect too hard (or preferably not at all), than I think I'd just accept it.

My first thought was "Yeah, you can't even tell that the middle is see-through at first glance.", but then I looked it up again, and you kinda can. But it's still debatable and you could argue it's like spandex, until you get down to the panties but those are almost never on stream anyway. And like many have said, the model matters way less than the person behind it, and she doesn't coombait with it, so *shrug*. Edit: sometimes a 'coombait model' can be distracting and annoying though even if the person is not pandering, like the ones who put on gigantic titties that fly all over the screen with the slightest movement. Even if the person is not coombaiting, that is just absurd and distracting from the actual content.

I definitely get what you're both saying, she has a lot of talent and doesn't coombait with it so much so it can be easy to overlook. I might focus more on it because I tend to read chat as much as I pay attention to the streams so I keep an eye out for the weirdos in chat sometimes. It just kinda surprised me a bit lol here I thought fishman was nerfing her by giving her that model and in reality it was her call. I guess women just think differently than men because while I've seen a few very small women (like I've worked with a flip who could have passed as a high schooler at 32 years old) with that sort of frame, 8/10 times when you see it in anime it's playing up the fact that the character is underage.

From what she's discussed it sounds like Shiina has had an interesting life. She discussed growing up in a part of the world without indoor plumbing and chat was shocked that there are still people who have to use chamber pots in the world. Her taking care of her grandmother seems to have rounded her out and matured her a lot but at the same time she says sometimes she can't handle scary themed stuff that is so prevalent this month, apparently anything with rotting or decayed flesh gets to her and can trigger her to start having fucked up thoughts. She's had friends who went on to be idols and friends who are "that friend" who she's had to wash their hair while they drunkenly puked all over her bathroom.

All told her life experiences seem to have given her a fairly balanced perspective of things, she doesn't expect too much and just kinda works hard and goes with the flow.

I think this helps strengthened the evidence of Grimmi being Aero buddy as this is evidence a voice actor could put on a voice for hours with little chance of slipup.

Lumi mentioned earlier today that she deleted the VOD. She didn't specify, but she said there was a reason. I guess it was about Shiina but she made a Twitter video about it so it doesn't seem to be serious at all.

It was first come first serve and Axel legit though he'd get maybe a couple slots filled (beyond Altare I presume) and then he would need to try to convince the rest to join because he was really new to Holopro at the time, so he was shocked it got filled almost immediately.

Excited for Tempus D&D this evening. It just seems like it'd fit the group really well.

Hyde might just be the most powerful Hololive fanartist of them all. Hes seriously an art god. His work never misses, and hes very fast at working too, he has high quality art of new outfits out on just several hours after the reveal. With his skill level, he could easly go pro artist like Ina or Sana.

From what she's discussed it sounds like Shiina has had an interesting life.
