Even if she's roughly 5 feet tall (150 cm, as someone mentioned), that's still over a foot of hair...and it still looks pretty long even afterwards

As a man with long(er than average) hair, i can tell you that the longer your hair gets, the more of a fucking chore it is to keep clean and take care of it, it also weighs (even though it doesn't seem like it) and it's a constant bother when moving around since it gets tangled everywhere and makes almost any activity that requires looking down a complete nuisance unless you tie it.

I do not blame her for cutting it.

Job security. Imagine if you let your talents just collab whenever. There'd be a, nay, considering the size of Hololive, several middle managers out of a job. Losing their homes. Out on the street, divorced, their children no longer able to afford food or clothes. And winter is approaching, too.

Cover cannot possibly allow such a social disaster to occur. For the safety of Japan and its middle managers, middle managers must manage. For management's sake. And if there is nothing to manage, they'll find something to manage. Unmanaged anything is anathema to any red-blooded middle manager and the Japanese state alike, and all shall eventually be put under management.

Kanata's grip strength comes entirely from filling out the mandated paperwork herself, btw.
