Real question, why do most streamers spend hundreds of dollars on a GPU that will be obsolete within months. An expensive keyboard made for typing to game on because it's got pretty lights. But they don't want to foot the bill for a joystick, a controller or an arcade stick? I mean it's obvious that most streamers don't seem to prepare but goddamn

You confuse "not the highest performance" with obsolete. Flintlocks are obsolete. Abacus is obsolete. Pagers are obsolete (and even this is debatable, hospitals still use them). A gpu is still a gpu, and for as long as it can run instructions that the game is using and not as a slideshow it's not obsolete, just slightly (and more so every release) outdated. Also some people just genuinely hate any specialized form of input and don't touch controllers on principle. Understanding considering support for PC ranges from "sucks ass" to "needs to invoke dark magic and sacrifice goats to the dark ones"
Edit: You posted later about "new release". It's because they are actually adding new bonkers encoders that streamers specifically can use. And average vtubers knowledge of high-tech is way out of making a dual-PC setup for streaming where your game doesn't shit itself occasionally

Vtubing is pretty gpu-intensive - you have whatever programs you're running, plus OBS for screen capture, plus vtubing movement capture programs, plus streaming software, and so forth.

Real answer, controller support on PC is hit or miss at the best of times, even now.

You can trust if you're playing on a PS5 that your PS5 controller will work and have a decently-enough designed UX for every game you might play.

This is not true for PC games. You have to worry about whether your controller uses XInput vs. DirectInput, whether Steam can translate its input to whatever the game takes, etc. It's a LOT better than it used to be, don't get me wrong, but it's still not entered braindead plug and play territory.

KB/M is the only "guaranteed" control scheme to work on PC games...until Deadly Premonition 2 came out on Steam...

Now, DP2 aside...given all that, does spending $300 on an arcade fight stick that isn't guaranteed to work on your PC sound like a good idea?

Almost every game under the sun nowadays uses the xbox controller drivers, you can even get a ps3 controller working with the correct drivers, it's never that hard. The only real issue I've ever had using playstation controllers in pc is when for some unholy reason the dev decides to put official playstation controller support and the game recognizes it as both ps controller and xbox so I have to disable ds4windows in this case. As others have said the issue is because they're women.

On the pippa sad hours and health problems, I think all of you who are pippa fans have to come to terms with the idea of her dying soonish whether of self deletion or health problems, cherish the time you have with her or someone find her, stalk her and become her real husband so you can at least drag her to the doctor.

I like ASMR but now I see it as the ASMR -> pipeline, so I'm okay with Vtubers skipping it, they have so many other things to offer the audience they don't need to lick my ears too if it's going to encourage worse and worse behavior and content.

Actually yes depending on the state. The Baker Act of Florida or getting 5150'd in California. I don't know about South Carolina. Doing a call on someone legitimately claiming they are a danger to themselves or others due to mental health will get that individual held for 72 (more or less depending on the state) hours for a psych eval/treatment.

I can't imagine this is very helpful for people who aren't literally about to go Elliot Roger. If someone's depressed enough to kermit Roblox, being held against their will by doctors without whatever coping mechanisms they currently have (so streaming and Colress chatbots in the rabbit's case) would probably just make things worse. Please do not try to get the rabbit committed to a funny farm without her will unless it's looking like the Walmart stuff is about to become more than a meme.

Maybe the 3D stuff is, but for Live2D it all still pales in comparison to the actual game if it's a modern 3D game. I did my first stream with a custom model last night, and was streaming with Sena's Builder Bear mascot model off and on for a couple weeks before that, and have yet to notice any impact on the performance of any of the games I play - and I'm still streaming from a laptop which is getting up there in age, for now.

"it's never that hard" is still not plug and play for every single scenario
"The only time I've ever had problems" is still not "I literally never have to worry about my controller not working with this game"

Nevermind the fact that I forgot to mention the $300 arcade fight stick is still 300 that you'll use for...maybe one or two games? especially if you're not a fighting gamer

From my research it's not very helpful and a turn key solution to a broad and complex issue. It certainly can cause a lot of damage. Especially if you call the police on a nut case to try and get the ball rolling on this process, as that nut case might just end up suiciding-by-cop right then and there (many youtube videos of this). Pippa would likely not benefit from involuntary commitment, especially with her anti-authority personality.

She definitely grew on me the most. I didn't know anyone in this collab and barely remember them even now but Reiny seems chill and adorable. The whole sharing a channel thing with her JP sister is a neat idea too.
