The only thing twitter streaming could ever have over twitch is porn, and people who do porn streams can do so elsewhere and get paid a lot more for it.
The closest comparison to twitter streaming would be TikTok and other short form streaming platforms, because they're not platforms where people linger. Most people on twitter scroll, and they will scroll right past streams if they don't follow the attention grabbing template of other short form content mines. So streamers will be encouraged to dumb down their content and keep downtime to an absolute minimum.
The result will be trash, no amount of money can fix that.

Now that I think about it, if twitter in the future dedicate further their streaming feature, I foresee them banning porn in their platform.

If X wants to have an integrated streaming platform that takes off, they will need a fairly different discoverability approach and it's basically like a system within their system. It's entirely doable, it's really just about the switch in Interface that changes things when on Mobile.

The sad part about cancer is that there is a very high chance for it to keep coming back over and over until it finally kills you. Know of a few close family friends who had beat cancer 3 or 4 times before before eventually dying to it. Hope she gets lucky and it doesn't pop back up.

If they actually improve X streaming (which sounds like a porn site), this could be big for indies and smaller corpos.

So I've been triple-streaming to YouTube, Kick, and Twitter for something like six months now. Some notes about Twitter streaming:

• The interface to even start a stream is really hidden away. You have to click Premium, then Media Studio, which then shows you a grid of images that you've posted, but, like, not all of them? I really don't understand what this page is for except that it's where the ambiguously-titled "Producer" link is, which shows you a list of your past broadcasts and where you can finally click "Create broadcast" to bring up the pop-up to create a new stream. It's so bizarrely hidden away for a feature that they want as many people to use as possible. I should be able to click one, maximum two buttons to get to the "Create broadcast" pop-up from anywhere on the site if they really want to make it as usable as Twitch and YT.
• The stream creation interface has an "Audience" control with two options: "Public" and "Private (Only I can see this broadcast)." Why the fuck would you want to create a stream that nobody can see? I don't know.
• One nice thing is that "Schedule" has two options: "Start immediately" and "Start later." If you select the former your stream will go live as soon as it gets a stream from OBS, but if you select the latter you can select a date and time and a thumbnail. So people who like Twitch's "go live as soon as I do" style and people who like YouTube's "schedule a date and time and always add a thumbnail" approach can both use it as they're accustomed to.
• The broadcast list shows that some of my streams have "Ended" and others have "Timed out." What the difference is between the two is not explained anywhere that I can tell but I think the difference is that if you end your stream in OBS before the scheduled end date, it's "Timed out." It's weird it'd track something like that, though - I usually set my scheduled stream to be six hours long (the maximum duration) if I remember to do so because I rarely know how long a stream is going to last.
• Text at the top of the analytics for each stream says the metrics are for "Twitter app viewership only," which I take to mean only viewers on the mobile app. This is stupid if true.
• Looking through the analytics for my last handful of streams, I've had 0 maximum (not average, maximum) CCV on all of them. For comparison on even my deadest YouTube streams I almost certainly will hit 2 or 3.
• Using this broadcast list, I can see my past VODs (and quite a few of them), but as far as I can tell there's no way for users to see them. If you don't catch your oshi's Twitter stream live, into a black hole it goes.

In short it's not all bad but there's a lot of weirdness and a whole not of ways they could make things better for both viewers and streamers, some of them so simple that I have to wonder if they even actually had any streamers working with the team that built this stuff. Kick in comparison is far more straightforward to use and seems to have been made with clear consultation of both viewers and streamers. So while someone of Asmon's size won't be a perfect stand-in for us normal 1-2views, I think there's still a very good chance he'd be able to steer it in a better direction, if only by showing them how their competitors do things and saying "this, make it more like this."

As for whether Twitter should become a major streaming platform, well, I'd rather see it go in that direction than becoming a payment processor and news portal or whatever other stupid shit Elon was talking about when he first bought it.

A lot of the time it's just not fully gone and a few cells survive, and since cancer evolves to get better at not being killed, it will eventually get good enough at surviving that it will be impossible to control.

I "beat" cancer as a child but then it came back worse as a slightly older child and after some experimental stem cell treatment I was good.
They said it would kill me eventually because all the radiation and chemo I have been through but I already have gone past their estimates so...
