I can understand how someone might assume that the ID girls only stream in Indonesian, but it just seems like a bizarre idea to me. I've been watching HoloID since before there was a HoloEN, and back then if you wanted to hear a Hololive girl speaking English, you either watched Coco or the ID girls.

With Mixer, I think the biggest mistake was their approach to try to scale the platform too early. They needed to settle out all of the platform issues, then lure talent. They actually built a great platform from an infrastructure stand point. But they were already the discount Twitch, which was already smaller than any Facebook or YT. That's what MS would have been looking at. I think if they hadn't shelled out 100 million in contracts to a couple of streamers, they'd still be around.

Actually, the head of that project is probably available if Twitter needs some help.

Well we are lucky they just didn't build mixer directly into windows.

To this day I'm stumped why Microsoft gave up so quickly on Mixer. Odysee, Rumble, and even DLive are still around, so I presume there are people who have figured out how to make a profit running them all. Surely a company with Microsoft's resources would have been able to find a way to at least break even on streaming if they gave it enough time.

It was purely a tech purchase to get a hold of Mixers low latency streaming protocol FTL. IIRC they ended up using it for the Xbox cloud game streaming.

Ironically, I'd say HoloID has only become more English speaking since the above clip. Aside from Kobo, every member of ID is basically fluent and uses anywhere from 50%-100% English in non-collab streams. Hell, over half of them are fluent enough in Japanese to solo collab with JP talents without major difficulties.

The part in the clip where she mentions getting "cancelled" for speaking English is actually somewhat true. She used to get a lot of flak for speaking English and it let to this fairly well known moment where she goes off on IOP chatters:

Ironically, I'd say HoloID has only become more English speaking since the above clip. Aside from Kobo, every member of ID is basically fluent and uses anywhere from 50%-100% English in non-collab streams. Hell, over half of them are fluent enough in Japanese to solo collab with JP talents without major difficulties.

The only time I see them speak 99% Indo is when it is an ID only collab

She's one of the few whose age increases in real time. I don't think she had a drinking stream (alcohol) before this year since the legal drinking age is 20 but looks like she has some alcohol bottle assets ready on screen.

For people that like concerts, there's quite a variety of talents here from all over for Nyana Banyana's upcoming 3D concert. For Phasefags, we have Jelly and Remi, Brave/Idol Corp fans get Lisa and Kai Saikota, there's a bunch of indies from all over, the whore corpo is participating, and there's even a dramafag (Rima).

Nyana's next concert is on June the 14th. Great work on this list of guests, Nyana.

There are even two ES girls there, Shura Hiwa and Melty Hitoru. Shura is not a surprise considering she seems to have already appeared in other Nyana concerts and also Shura is one of the ES vtuber that had more interacted with the EN community, besides the girls of Idol Eternals and Lunaria. Melty is a nice addition (I'm biased because we are from the same country).

I'm glad Nyana maintains this connection with the ES community, I still remembered she participated in the ES Smash tournament where Pippa also participated.

You could say the same with the girls of Idol Eternals, specially Koa and Ruby, also Lala has started to speak more English in her streams. Taiga is like the only one that speaks in big part in Spanish in her solo streams, which is funny considering her English is better than Lala. Then again, one of Taiga objectives is to help the ES community grow and is the only one of the four girls of Eternals that had organized events for the ES community, so it makes sense most of her stream are in Spanish.
