People got that impression because Doki came out of the gate guns blazing and ready to stream, and when Mint went back to streaming proper a similar thing happened. That, of course, is completely ignoring the vastly different circumstances surrounding their graduations and life situations. Doki was basically forced out and Mint left out of guilt and only came back with encouragement from others, but the key thing is that nothing in their life changed to such a degree that streaming would be a hassle.

Meanwhile, Dooby:

• Is now providing for and living with 3 seperate family members, one of which severely mentally ill and the others a bit wonky as well
• Was only half-prepared with her stream setup and didn't realize how many technical issues would need to be addressed to make it consistent
• Had satanically evil internet providers who'd cut her off even when she had the full stream prepared
• And works on the whims of her own desires far more often than Doki and Mint who can motivate themselves through streams alone.

Nimi did much the same thing as Doki/Mint, but I'm seeing the exact same expectations placed on Mumei, a girl who is literally physically unable to stream. VTuber fans are so stupid sometimes.

The real copium was that people expected Dooby to collab everyday with Doki, Mint and Nimi as a sort of new HoloEN.

Yep, people ignored the differing circumstances and put together their own headcanon that "the band is getting back together". As awesome as that would be reality is often quite disappointing, like you said Mint wasn't even planning to come back at all and both her and Doki had to be encouraged from outside to reach out to one another. Also Doki can barely manage herself much less others. Mumei's PL already said not to have such high expectations of her.

Yeah I think the reason we see lots of collabs when small corpo girls go indie is because they already had gotten used to having to network outside of their small agencies out of necessity. This skillset is not as prevalent with those who spent years in a big corpo mostly just collabing internally.
