Used to be common knowledge that got passed around in Dota related spheres that League's existence early on was entirely because one of their devs ran the original Dota-All-Stars forum and then closed it with no warning when he got the job at Riot and took everything from that forum (like hero concepts) and incorporated it into League of Legends.

but anyway whatever the fuck Shurelya & Randuin does noone in the league/dota/MOBA community cares, they departed even before most people picked up League. Sure maybe some guy complained about balancing back then and get 20 upvotes. But probs even the guy himself don't remember any more. That's 14 years ago. You have to be extremely petty to remember balance changes that far. Most league player didn't pick up the game then.
Season 1 was pretty much lost media as noone knows what's in it beside dodge used to be a mechanics and lanes weren't even defined. That's it.
Most people know of league is around Season 2-3, when it was evident that Dota 2 was ass (half the heroes missing, invite-only closed beta), HoN almost completely died, Dota 1 was infested with cheaters and disconnect-hackers. Dota/HoN players started migrating to LoL en mass around then and Pretty much all of the early balancing hatred is forwarded to Morello, someone who worked on League until 2016 when he moved to develope Valorant.
