I would find it weird if a vtuber I watched suddenly started behaving like a younger, less mature woman, complete with a younger-looking character model to boot. It would also be antithetical to the character arc we want to see of talents we watch - instead of them maturing, growing, learning new things and gaining new skills, they're age-regressing instead. That would feel really weird to me, and I don't want to think that a talent is going backwards in their personal growth. I don't think many talents would suddenly want to start roleplaying someone much younger.

A lot of them already do though? I mean sure, lore is mostly dropped after the first month and vtubers generally just stick the thinnest veneer of character over talking about their own life experiences, but if you look at just the model and the character (and disregard any "actually a 900 year old dragon" nonsense) then the vast majority of vtubers are "playing" a 20s-or-earlier woman, even when the talent is actually significantly older than that. Marine (or Clara, or almost any other popular "hag") may joke and banter about being old, but ultimately the surface-level character is under 20 and her model looks it, and I don't see her ever wanting to change that, and I think the same will apply for most talents who really are early-20s as they grow older.

This is up there on the bad redesign level with Pochi 2.0 and that one chick that went from a loli to a titmonster and back again.
She's lost all the cuteness and charm of her previous models. Is this what her community wanted? I'm glad Mozu fought against this tooth and nail.

imo model-wise, Mozu's base model and her roman one is on par with this titty wise (especially since the latter has a XL tit toggle), its much less tasteful than say, Mori's nightgown model but still.

Interesting development:
Ryoma will start utilizing his Twitch account (every NijiEN member has one, most just don't use them) and, what I think is a first for Niji and maybe Japanese corpos in general, he will be multistreaming on both YouTube and Twitch.

He also did a poll on his sub account after this announcement and it seems like most people (90% at time of writing) prefer YouTube, but giving people a choice by multistreaming is still good in my opinion.

Dude should probably use all the tools he has at his disposal. Get some Twitch collabs and appeal to that crowd too as last time I had checked that entire gen was not doing too hot (first gen to debut after Selen-gate). Dude seemed somewhat decent but the reputational damage debuff Niji has, probably impacted his gen the most.

If you were to show me this without context and ask me where is this Vtuber from I would have guessed Mythos. Not really a fan of the redesign.

Edit: I watched more AND IT'S PERMANENTLY CROSSEYED. The artist or rigger made the irises so close together they look like they're crosseyed every time they move.

She might be going the VAllure route. She has always been GFE. She will probably get a stronger parasocial crowd. As for moving to Twitch, maybe its for ASMR content since YT has gotten extremely retarded over it.

Edit: just to note, I don't know the first thing about Elia outside of reading about her here and on /vt/ and seeing her in collabs with Ekko... I'm not trying to be an Elia anti and if she's actually a good friend to the V-Dere girls/Ekko/others then great - but seeing this 2.0 and the apparent Twitch pivot I do not trust anything she could say regarding models/content direction/etc would align with my personal VTuber preferences in any way.

Doubt it tbh. It would be a rare woman who doesn't want to look eternally 17, and vtubing lets them. If anything redesigns tend to go for more conventionally attractive (which, for women, means 20s at best), since once you're established there's less need to stand out.

While true, I could also see someone pushing for an older milfy mother if their type of content might start to push towards that direction. Someone like Marine could probably do it and people wouldn't be too mad about it.

Whorse comes from her cardinal sin of interacting with male vtubers during her Kawaii days. Most notably the incident with Alban Knox coming into her stream and her saying "hi". This caused the SEAmonkey unicorns that made up Kawaii's fanbase to lose its shit and they continue to hate her over 2 years after the event.

She got a ton of shit for I believe Alban and Altare. I feel like that was her time to put her foot down and call her parasocial fans faggots so I took that as she wanting to keep doing GFE content.

I have no idea why notifications are turned on by default. I turned them off immediately on both KF and here. 30+ notifications every few hours makes it absolutely impossible to notice actual post updates, quotes or other similar things. If someone could tell me how to make reaction alerts disabled by default I would, it would solve so many issues overnight.
