Time to irresponsibly rrat - Offkai had a bunch of technical issues when doing stuff for Phase Connect last year, to PC fans, suspiciously so (and everyone outside of Phase Connect had much fewer issues). This gives Offkai an excuse not to have Phase Connect as guests and sponsors this year, but I don't think PC was going to sponsor this year, since none of the talents or the company has retweeted Offkai content. This would have been a big PR blow to the convention, since PC invested so heavily last year (Phase Connect was a major sponsor and paid everyone's booth fees for artist alley) and deferring this problem a year down will help soften the blow of PC dropping out as a sponsor.

I currently am of the belief phase will either show in a limited capacity or not show at all, but Im wondering if any other corpo has been retweeting it at all? I haven’t seen anything in my circles.

Idol was the only other corpo that sponsored them as heavily as Phase and they're part of Brave now so unless Offkai changes to "Offkai Idol Edition: Brought to you by Brave" I don't think anyone else who cares has the pockets to do so.

For all his autism, Fishman seems to know his way around a legal contract. While I don't recall if there was a two-year deal with Offkai, if there was such a deal, no doubt there are clauses in there for what Fishman expects in return for his investment in the convention, and escape clauses should he not be satisfied with how Offkai meets those provisions. And I have no doubt that Fishman would have been unsatisfied with the bullshit specifically surrouding Phase Connect for last year's convention.

I think if it were locked in, Phase Connect would be making more of a deal about their connection with the 2025 convention, and Offkai would have Phase Connect on their con advertising, but they currently do not.

Btw Athena, one of the new boys, is Mr Underhill our former strongest nijisister till he caved and gave up on the news.

She had a bit of a meltdown over the initial attention they got because of their debut trailer with the Moist voice over and later how their numbers plummeted. I think people just expected Moist to hop on the Vtuber trend and possibly stream with an avatar which people might have thought as a bait and switch of sorts when it turned out to be 3 random female vtubers. Overall the agency did get a ton of eyes on it and I dont think they are doing too bad. Honestly they just need time to grow (and to get away from Twitch).

As for Underhill. I didn't have a problem with him until he started dickriding Niji and throwing shade at other "dramatubers". The only reason he blew up was because of his dramatubing. Only difference when compared to the others is that he was extremely parasocial with Niji (possibly because he wanted to be a part of it) that he started sucking their dicks despite the company objectively doing horrible shit over and over again. The cope got so bad that he ended up deleting all of his content and his CCV dropped about 90%.

I thought he was going to join Next Stage Production but I guess I was wrong.

I think most of you forget how hard it is to get more than 300 CCV. It took the Phase Girls more than a year to do that. Even Pippa struggled quite a bit early on. Hell, some of the Gen 1 talents still struggle to hit 300 CCV.

Vshojo have funds. Holo have funds too. Many LIGs have funds. But none of them have any need to bankroll a vtuber-specific con for advertisement, they'll have to cast wider net into literally any other nerd cons but vtuber-specific ones. Phase is in this category too now.
Niji desperately need good publicity, but it's dead to western cons for at least another season.
Guys, i think it's gonna be Brave land in the end, with SVP/Mythos/Socks as minor sponsors.

Phase didn't even announce they were going last year until about 6 weeks prior to the opening day. Most guests and sponsors were kept secret until about a month out in what I assume was an attempt to build hype.

It's just advertising shit, he doesn't need to advertise most of these cons, their only purpose is to show up to show off Phase to congoers who are already there. So for him THAT part is done. If you haven't seen meet and greets and the like are not a priority. Getting new eyes is. People who have never heard of phase walking by a booth. Not dedicated fans.
