I know nothing about yugioh since the last time I played was when Destiny Board came out but I will say this in regards to TCG design: Monoblue players in MTG 100% deserve to be put in concentration camps. They are ontologically evil and devoid of humanity, anything short of giving them constant suffering for the rest of their days is a gross dereliction of moral duty. There is no punishment too severe for them.

The fact that Ash Blossom has to exist is a problem in its own right. It's as mandatory in modern decks as an unbanned Pot of Greed would be, it's a perfect example of what's gone wrong with the modern game.

I missed out on the Phase merch quality talk from earlier in the day and all I gotta say is I hope Fishman didn't cheap out on the panko water bottle. These metal ones that retain the temperature of the liquid inside for several hours tend to be made with LEAD (if it is cheaply manufactured). Only thought about this while taking a nice cold sip from it so, hopefully I don't die of lead poisoning within 3 years.

it's not that anything has gone wrong. it's that the power creep has gotten so out of hand it's an impressive feat if a match lasts more then 3 turns. While I still think the Synchro and XYZ era's were fine they were definitely the tipping point or game balance combos became much easier to get out (not an issue at the time) along with more powerful negation cards to stop them like stardust dragon.


That being said it's a 25 year old game it's impressive that it's been around long enough for the power creep to matter this much.

This reaction is exactly why I played monoblue back when I played Magic. It's not enough to win. My opponents need to suffer as much as possible.

Only in tournaments though. I'd make other decks for casual games with friends.
