In classic redditor fashion, the OP alleges its a Nijisister with no evidence provided, and a commenter disagrees saying its actually a fan of a group called Strawberry Prince a sort of proto-vtubing (character acting, skits, but pngs instead of L2D even to this day) group that features a lovelive-esque boyband who post edited gaming content and music on their channel, they have 3.5million subs and 2.7 billion views on their channel
Apparently this is a very dedicated schizo but on a cursory search im not finding much

Well yeah, some people seem to loathe this thought but you know your oshis because they were in a big corpo, unless they were particularly big beforehand would've probably never heard of them. As much as the vtubers make the corpo, the corpo also makes the vtubers, it has always been give and take, breaks only happen when somebody refuses to give or takes too much.
That's why I will never count sakuna as "the biggest indie debut" she's not some poor little indie starting from nothing. Any Holo reincarnation is gonna be at least 75% as popular as their Holo identity.
Edit: Adding onto it, a lot of people think content creation is as easy as "be consistent and talented" but it's really not, it's mostly grinding in obscurity for years no matter how good you are until you get randomly lucky. Machiavelli said it best, life is virtu (virtue) and fortuna (luck), you can be as prepared and as strong at the things you do as you want, but without luck, you won't get anywhere. If you don't like corpos then that's fine, they are in most aspects a cancer and have been used to do more harm than good, but at least appreciate that corpos who pick up new talent, like Holo, elevate nobodies to stardom and seed the industry with new talent.
