Crossposting from the Pippa thread. Something I had meant to post about, but forgot at the time because by the time I learned about it, it was a month later, and much of the info was gone. Was just reminded of this today.


TL;DR: A prolific Phase fanartist, Eight Tyan, quit for a while partially because of some annoying shit Lumi's mods Xalamon and Smugdoka were doing in her Discord. Looked to be some oldfag vs newfag RP shit that annoyed him and several prominent members in her community. This happened back in August, and any info I have is fragmented, including the reason why it pissed off quite a few people. So, it's older news, and Eight is back to making Phase fanart. I doubt there's much going on related to this stuff now, but for the purpose of archiving info, here it is.

Even more of a TL;DR: You'll be shocked to hear that more faggotry caused on Discord caused some problems. This time, within a small section of Lumi's community.

Xalamon was Lumi's mod before Phase, and I very vaguely recall someone saying he was with her before even Cyberlive. The only time I've seen Lumi completely lose her shit is when someone with knowledge of her past (or just a schizo hitting the right button) showed up in her chat and accused them of being too close. I think he accused Xalamon of grooming her, though maybe it was the other way around. My money is on them being boyfriend and girlfriend, although married is also entirely plausible.

It's frankly irresponsible of Sakana to keep someone with that much power over a major talent around and in a position of privileged access within the company. But I guess the Chinese will stick together against the filthy white devils no matter what.

My condolences to Xalabussy if he actually has to deal with Lumi on a personal level on a daily basis
