...Indonesian vtuber from the agency MAHA5, Alia Adelia is going to graduate on 28th December 2024 local Indo time.

She was featured on TV, but this is the only thing I know about her. About Maha5 I know that Zen Gunawan graduated from them very suddenly, while still wanting to stream. Were the circumstances similar?

No clue, as far as I know. The graduation seems amicable, so it's likely nothing as dramatic as Zen's. I'm keeping my eye out for her PL on the ID vtubing fan circle and see if it was just like Zen or it was just her wanting to move on.

I admit, I don't really follow MAHA5 as much because I shifted my focus for the ID agency AKA Virtual due to them hosting more ID vtubers in a phase invader style thingie (ex-NijiID Siska aka ONShannon joined AKA Virtual with her design pretty much intact beyond re-drawing iirc) and they handled JKT48v (JP idol group foreign branch vtuber sub-branch. God that was mouthful). MAHA5 seems to be doing well imo, but some ID vtuber fans in my circle is concerned with the idea of one of the OG of MAHA5 (Alia is one of the first vtubers of the agency) leaving, since it means that her partner, Andi Andinata might have a reason to leave as well.

Oh no, someone doesn't like everything about Hololive! Better circle the wagons, otherwise your oshi will end up on the streets, collabing with filthy MALES :panik:
Disliking Hololive its okay but why they attack the vtubers and not the company? How the fuck Aki,Ollie and Kiara complaining makes them worse than the rest?
All of them are bound to COVER because its their JOB
This was when Aki was crying because she felt "left behind" when old and new members outgrew her at a steady pace, way past the beginning. I don't agree with him either because impostor syndrome is real and she's a numberfag, but if you're excusing talents whining because of the "struggle" then she could never do any wrong or grow as an entertainer, and that standard should be held to all other indies that had to eat noodles for years until they broke the 3view wall as well.
Thats because Aki still did the same amount of work that all of gen 1 with worst results
But the truth is that she fell behind because she debuted on Mirrative instead of Youtube (wich was super weird) and she suffered an traffic accident that forced her to go into hiatus early on her career
Sorry, I should've clarified "they don't fire anyone unless they fuck up severely", I guess I expected too much.
Why its a bad thing that people are allowed to have a stable job? Do you really want terminations to be based on monetary sucess?
I'm talking in a general sense, they do get a salary and some production change (in the eyes of the company). A JP wage should be enough for a SEA talent to live comfortably, unless they live in Singapore's tall buildings, you can prove it otherwise.
Their "Salary" its still lower than DEV_IS and JP, most of ID are the breadwinners of their family , Zeta moved to JP and Reine doesnt care about money because she is fucking rich
But you are correct with the Holostars point, my mistake. Still a dumbass move, Niji has shown they can bring hard cash multiple times.
Not just NIjisanji there are dozens of good Male vtubers out there in the likes of Neo Porte but COVER doesnt want to fund the Stars
I feel that many think this is a zerosum game where if Niji or Wactor murder a talent, there is no more evil to be had elsewhere, when it's more about beating entertainment out of talents like alchemy while keeping them alive at the same time.
That guy wasnt criticizing COVER for sure with his tierlist about the VTUBERS themselves

Not exactly related, but all the talk about ID vtubers reminded me of something.

Cover had planned on ID Gen 4 back in 2023, they literally put up an audition for "hololive Indonesia Next Generation". But as we all know, it has been more than a year since the end of the audition and yet no ID4 in sight. We have literally gotten 2 new HoloEN gens and 2 new "HoloJP" gens since then. I wonder if something happened internally that made them scrapped the idea of a new ID gen, or they just couldn't find any suitable candidates.

My guess for a while on this matter is that they decided to put support of the existing talents first instead of debuting a new gen. They have done a decent amount of projects officially since those auditions. I do think a new gen would be a good idea eventually, though, if they can find the right people.

Just because you learnt of gay orgies during anime cons, doesn't mean you should preemptively invite people to them as well

The only assumption I think it could be reasonable to make is Hololive might have a small stipend for talents that aren't yet monetized. But it would still be an assumption without any solid supporting evidence.
I vaguely recall that Kanata had a special merch run with her kusotenshi tshirt because she and Coco couldn't get monetized and needed at least some kind of money. They were also talking how apparently they lived on beans until the first actual paycheck, so even if Holo did pay monthly salary at some point for people who haven't earnt monetization yet, it was definitely peanuts money (or rather beans)

Kaela streams enough for 2 average Holo gens, there is no need to hire more people

same reason why they are cutting back on Holostars this year. ID isn't making money. Cover pulled back the decision to invest in more managers and talents without seeing a future for the ID branch. New corpos like MAHA5 & AKA Virtual claiming a lot of the available audience doesn't help. ID is now a saturated market with very low payout due to ... 3rd world country.
Most of the ID talent (except for Kaela) also took huge audience hit. Particularly Ollie who was once the top of ID and showing up in every superchat ranking to now being a runt.
Anyone remember when a lot of ID suddenly started PL activity at the same time and vagueposting? I think they received confirmation that HoloID isn't doing well during that period. Holo still push ID out to the world by putting them onto meet and greet and concerts so it's not like they are doing 0 to the branch? But no ID4 is clear sign of giving up.

Honestly I think it's dumb of Cover to give up before they even tried. But I can see why they choose to do so.

Apparently a VOLs talent tweeted a yab that warranted a stream suspension, a gun-to-head apology tweet, and an apologetic QRT from the main agency account.

I put on my toxic radiation suit and searched /vt/ to see if I could find what the yab was and found someone speculating that this was the offending tweet, as it seems to have been deleted:

Needless to say, I hope this isn't actually what got her in trouble, because if so the reaction is incredibly tone-deaf and retarded by the corpo.
