Jp fuckery is always present and it has been a major sore point with many holofans, but has either Holo or Niji been majorly upstaged by any of the big indie cliques this year? Honest question, im in my Holo/Phase bubble because im not really interested in most twitch fuckery and the NijiENs i kinda liked fucked off. Its no longer just a resource thing since Big Indies have slowly gotten their stake into the scene and obtained some really nice benefits and returns from it. Even outright having big agencies manage them or being investors in other internet/influencer companies like GamerSupps
The vast network they have spread out would allow them to do much, much more, and with all the middle management at hand they'd be able to organize gen-wide events more consistently. As I said before, Holo should be able to do EnReco-tier stuff once a month, or bimonthly if they're so keen in not overworking talents and artists.
Money comes and goes, after reaching a certain level it stops being a goal and it becomes a tool that you need to know how to use.
JP Corpo autism is definitely the key factor stopping them from letting talents make more stuff that will bring more value to the brand, be it as something simple as Kiara Talk Show or more elaborate like Fauna's goodbye roleplay event.
Again, no shit there is some popularity just because its Holo but maybe also, they actually did do consistent work compared to their peers? How many indies big or small have done even basic OBS fuckery like Cecilia did? Even Shiori did that when she debuted and it was just a laugh for the most part. Its almost as if Holohires have actual talent the company exploits, The more smart indies that market their shit well are still doing fairly basic work that gives high returns, so i cant blame them for that, but la creatividad is just pretty mid.

It was retarded then and its still retarded now, Holo talents have to be media personalities alongside entertaining streamers, and we dont always see even a fraction of the outside autism they deal with because its JP only or sometimes it gets canned, the same could be said for whatever NijiEN does, since they also have collabs and other work done that doesnt get noticed. Or outright canned. Gura is a retard to an extent and Shion's hiatus are wierd. But ultimately prove that there is a rising tide that elevates all ships, and honestly thats a good thing, because otherwise you dont have even that token unity and less popular talents like AZKI or Aki would never have gotten a big break again. It also sorta prevents the NijiEN infighting thats mainly focused around Males vs Females (Holo has that too, but never to the level of NijiEN, even with all the fuckery thats done with HolostarsEN)

I think the way you put the hidden work that never sees the light of the day is the same as the public effort that gets no recognition for good indies.
It's still a fact that in the case of Holo, they got support like no other, even if the price is undergoing constant musical training (which many would have experience or seek it anyway, considering they auditioned for Hololive).

I don't agree with him either because impostor syndrome is real and she's a numberfag, but if you're excusing talents whining because of the "struggle" then she could never do any wrong or grow as an entertainer, and that standard should be held to all other indies that had to eat noodles for years until they broke the 3view wall as well.

The indie scene, like nijisanji, forms their own cliques and are very afraid of competition. You will notice all the same exact people often interact with one another.
I think this is a key point for indies as well.
Being an indie is open to anyone with a png and a PC that can run OBS. The constant shitflinging, google docs and nothingburgers force people into cliques of people they trust, then competition is frowned upon because "it's a hobby" until it's not anymore and the backstabbing restarts.
You can see healthy rivalries in bigger ones, at least in my eyes, like Doki/Mint banter, Olivia/Lumi aggregating the same audience without being bitches about it and so on, still pretty rare nowadays.

I'm talking in a general sense, they do get a salary and some production change (in the eyes of the company). A JP wage should be enough for a SEA talent to live comfortably, unless they live in Singapore's tall buildings, you can prove it otherwise.

It's interesting that my ESL ass can't express my critiques to Holo without sounding like an anti or it's just part of the tribalism, I still watch and share Koro/Sui/Ceci stuff everywhere, but the company is far from perfect.
I feel that many think this is a zerosum game where if Niji or Wactor murder a talent, there is no more evil to be had elsewhere, when it's more about beating entertainment out of talents like alchemy while keeping them alive at the same time.
