This happens so soon after Pippa admitted to clicking some retarded link in the offkai discord when it got hacked, and that was one of the most obvious scam links I've seen in a while, she was lucky she was on her phone when she did it. Pippa probably also did something similar back when her discord got locked that one time. They need like a proper mandatory course, because obviously them repeatedly fucking up isn't teaching them.

I've found the "for you" page on Twitter pretty good after you do a bit of pruning. I said I wasn't interested in a few things like "sports", and I've blocked a few people I found annoying, but after about half an hour, I'd say about 80% or more of the posts there are stuff I'd want to see. I don't mind that it's in a mix, so I might see politics and vtubing mixed up. Works for me, but mightn't work for other people.

Now, if you're like El Rrata and want really specific types of content, I'd do follow lists, and add stuff like major hololive fanartists, prominent fans, and so forth, who will be posting their own content, and also talking to people and retweeting stuff that you'll want to see, and expanding that list further as you see more interesting people. Or alternatively, you could just search tags like "Hololive" and "Hololive EN" and just get whatever has been posted with that tag and get a cross-section across the fandom.

Twitter has its faults, but I think it's doing a good job at giving people the content they're after.

I think the issue here with the list thingy, you wont be seeing content related to the members made by accounts that are not hololive members. You won't be seeing fanarts, memes, community interactions, clips, announcements of collaboration between holo and other companies, etc. The only way to see all these on twitter is to use the "for you" page but you'll also be seeing an enormous amount of shit you dont care about.

You will if they retweet them, and you will if you make lists of those hashtags. And with a client like Old Tweetdeck or whatever the fuck their shitty new paywalled version is (just use OTD it's free and works on mobile) you can make lists that include people and hashtags/keywords. You don't have to go algorithmic to get the content, and only the content, you want.

Apparently, Discord has a similar block function, so it may not be a violation. The only reason block wasn't removed entirely is likely because of this, though.

Which is colossally fucking stupid to complain about because if someone was stalking you, they could figure out how to make an alt account with zero effort.

Its funny because you can already do that by a private window or plugging in your alt unless the person who blocked made their profile locked

I've seen a lot of people pretending that bluesky has a chance of being a viable social media platform recently.

Funnily enough, post elon it's actually been popping off like it was pre-elon twitter, so it actually does have a chance the devs play their cards right. The only thing holding it back was being invite only at the start.

No corpo is gonna move to some random platform just because seething artists and twittards are going there for a week to protest before they begin craving the attention juice and move back. The truth of the matter is that 99% of Twitter users aren't moving and corpos only care about the majority.

Social media platforms are only as good as who they let you connect with, and there are so many important players are on X. There's no point creating a Blue Sky account to follow a few artists when someone stole their work thirty seconds after they uploaded it and reposted it on a social media site people actually use. And even if you did create a Blue Sky account for whatever reason, you're not going to ditch your X account - you'll use both, and you'll spend far more time on X because that's where everyone is.

As for X being blocked or limited or whatever, they tried that in Brazil when there were all sorts of threats going around for anyone that tried to use it, but that didn't stop X being the most popular app in the country. Oh, and I don't see X being throttled anywhere important in the future, given the likelihood of a Trump presidency and Elon heavily backing Donald Trump. Yeah, X is here to stay and I don't see BlueSky being anything other than a footnote as a social media platform.

Small update for Ina-bros: Bae says Ina is doing well and will be back. She was at Calli's house watching anime and eating food the other night with Bae, wigger, IRyS, and Raora.

It actually sounded like Ina was still in Japan recently - Calli had a get together to watch Gurren Lagann a couple of days ago and Bae later followed that up by talking about that gathering and during that mentioned that she met Ina (see end of attached clip). Ina's original tweet a week ago about the situation also said she'd be able to post in a week once she flew home, so whatever happened it didn't result in her being thrown out of the country immediately. Maybe they were waiting a week for an appeals process? Dunno.

I assumed after the announcement, she would have to leave as soon as possible and go back home, but that doesn't seem that way?
Maybe her Visa troubles can be solved from within Japan after all?

Fauna and Kiara are a great pairing, and its criminal that in 3 years, that duo had a grand total of 3 1on1 collabs



Kiara too seems quite happy with how the smaller groups are more accommodating to her, and also as a viewer its much easier to follow
