They don't do 3d rendered porn AFAIK if that's what you're after. Because the sewers in Paris are a centaury out of date, and the French Government haven't done anything about them, the clean up method has instead focused on making these certain spots pass tests rather than actually fix the problem. The protest where they pooped in the river was specifically about drawing attention to this fact.

Probably, but in their defense 1) they are French, critical thinking isn't their strongest trait, 2) they tried to time it so the wave of poop would reach the place where the Mayor of Paris and the President would be taking a swim in the river for a publicity stunt, and i think that is kinda funny.

A lot of twitter accounts with a significant following have taken to doing this because fucking pajeets with bot accounts are using the blue checkmark so they appear first in the twitter replies of their posts.

As @LurkerD mentioned, it is literally shit. Aside from all the things he mentioned, Macron also promised a while back to swim in the Seine River to prove its safe for the 2024 games. The French responded by mass shitting in the river to protest and Macron has yet to do so. The French sports minister swam in the river last month and she ended up getting pink eye and an ear infection.

It's only an announcement so far but their whole gimmick is, if my understanding from passing it through DeepL is correct, is they're always on an open audition and the audience can also watch the audition stage which makes it sort of a reality show if you will.
