If I remember right, Lando talked about disagreeing with management over some things, afterwards feeling like management was basically pushing him to quit, and that he was still mad about it, and intended to try being a vtuber again. Circumstances matter. The rrat about Mel's being about NDAs and possibly merch with another vtuber might have been Cover's "Why Gary, Why?" type of situation where they had to enforce their contracts but rather hated having to do it. Gamma still strikes me, since I don't believe any of the JP Stars are full-time streamers (someone correct me if I'm forgetting one that isn't an obvious "has another job"), as some sort of contract conflict with his normal job. Or he took a new job and there was no way to make things quite square.

Rushia was a necessary execution. The woman just had to shut up for 3 days and it'd have been fine. But probably lost >10 million USD from not being able to keep her yap shut.

A lot of Vesper's appeal really came down to him absolutely not fitting well within a corporate environment. I also think going to Japan and not having his medications for anxiety made him rather much want to exit. Unironically, it was a lot like Coco. Lightning in a bottle but the type of structure doesn't work for their personality and there's no real way to square that.

It's a side effect of the "Support everyone in the family" mentality that has always existed in Holo, for the westoids it's a bad trauma because at that time a lot of people were new to the hobby and to Holo and that drama hit them right in the face with the full force of "Oh so she's just dead and never coming back"
