I love that people are looking to start drama over this stupid shit. Seems like someone just searched up bing or some shit for the Vtuber name and some of the most popular images popped up. The Suisei one is the preview image for the LORA in the Ai Model database website. Since Purple Keemstar was part of the pre-show, do you think he will even bring this up (despite being a nothing burger)?

Hololive had one of their best years since 2020 in 2023, and basically unmarred by major controversy too. You could fill days with all the Hololive content wins this year. I do think Vshojo has proven why they deserve to be one of the big three this year, but Holo's shadow looms over every corner of this industry. What a weird thing to complain about.

I agree. Vshojo (and Idol) had a pretty huge year but they dont hold a candle to Hololive.

Most of the retards voting come from Twitch and there is a huge number of Hololive fans that only know about HoloEN and dont really know or care about HololiveJP. What im most impressed with is that HololiveID actually got nominated, and won 2 awards. Maybe it was brand recognition.

I'm not sure how you would even do it better than Filian. Sure there was an EN bias, but most people who deserved to win won. Award shows are either popularity contests like Filian's or a couple out of touch insiders who will vote for their friends. Even when you do a mix, it's usually no better.

Ok so I finished skimming through Filian's Vtuber awards thing. All in all it's a great success.

- There were like a ton of Vtuber awards this year and they all received really bad repution. Mostly because it seems like they knows 0 shit about vtubing or have incredibly weird category. One of them is even a clear scam shitpost giving long standing award to a bedridden girl. Compared to them this one is better by a mile.
- The clipping choices was awkward but honestly that's every award events. Some small hiccups on using AI arts of all thing.
- The event looked great and she was able to fill out 5 hours, despite alot of the guests appearance are very last minute. Also able was scored a lot of sponsors, would rather see someone like Naggz/Koefficient invited to narrate instead of them purplefag. The whole event looked very high effort compared to ehem whatever NijisanjiEN 3d concerts did.
- Note that while she's a big indie, she's still an indie with no big team/org behind her. For someone who only streams using her VRchat model cuz she's too cheap to pay for live2D, she came a long way.

- This event gave her access to a demographic she has never dipped into before: Niji/Hololive fans, whether or not they will watch her, she at least get some brand recognition.
- And the number one reason why it's a success is the award TRIGGERED THE SHIT OUT OF VTWEETERS AND /VT/

I commend fillian for grifting I mean supporting the vtuber community but if she plans to make this a yearly event she must rework the vote in someway because it will turn into the hololive award show featuring ironmouse. Fillian turning into the vtuber equivalent of the dorito pope is something I wasn't expecting from vtubing but here we are, not gonna watch any of them but I'll look forward to the cringe compilations if there's enough cringe.

Hate the game not the player. I dont think vtuber fans of all people have the moral high ground when it comes to 13+ thing, since most of them shills and play gacha games, which is way worse than fansly imo.

There's also the context that most vtuber viewers are of the 18-25 age range. The 13+ arguments works against minecraft/fornite streamers whose main audience are 13 years old. Not Vtubers.

Youtube/Twitch also accept gambling ads btw, fansly and gacha aint the worst thing in these sites.
