That's how I feel about new gen announcements/trailers in general.

Vtubing is kinda weird with treating the debuts of a handful of streamers who'll spend 90% of their time playing vidya badly as major events akin to a blockbuster.

I rather appreciate the ones who never bothered and just started streaming. Ria-chan (Usui Clear) or Onolumi for instance.

Debuts and shit DO help corpos, since they appeal to a wider subset of people they need to hype up that new product. Everyone in advertisement will tell you that the hardest part of it is getting people to actually care about what you're selling them and try it out, that's what debuts are for. For indies it's kinda silly, specially if they are complete nobodies.
