Big sperg post ahead. I saw Day 1 of the Holo Gamers event earlier. It was chaotic, hilarious, heartwarming and basically felt like a 3-hour off-collab. The huge crowd cheering and laughing at everything made it even better.
It started off with everyone introducing themselves and a short video from Mio. Everyone was so happy to hear her voice again man. She said she wishes she could be there but needs to focus on recovery, so she'll leave it up to the other girls to keep the excitement going.
After that, they played a few games. 1-2 Switch with Towa, a face-making quiz game with Subaru. Then Gartic Phone with Marine/Pekora and a guessing/matching quiz with the fans. The crowd picked Mio as most pon and best wife choice within Gamers (based crowd). They also announced a
Gamers-themed energy drink coming next year.
The finale was a mini-live. They performed the new
Gamers original song, a medley of their own songs (Korone's Wonky Monkey, Okayu's Mogu Mogu Yummy, Mio's Yakou Tsuushin and Fubuki's KonKon Beats) and of course, Shiny Smily Story for the ender.
Mio's song is already emotional on its own but the circumstances made it hit even more. Okayu and Fubuki said they almost cried mid-performance and honestly same. The girls ended off by saying thank you for supporting Gamers and that they hope their feelings reached Mio and the crowd.

Overall, it was smooth and really well-done. Korone's and Okayu's models bugged out and froze at some point, but they handled it so naturally that I nearly thought it was intentional. The games were fun to watch, especially the Gartic Phone nonsense. The crowd interaction was great and it felt like they properly acknowledged Mio without letting her absence affect the vibe too much. I'm sure Mio's fans were satisfied if they didn't refund their ticket after her cancellation was confirmed. Mio love and Gamers love.
The only complaints I got are with the streaming service they used. The only way to buy a streaming ticket was to get their region-locked app and buy it through there. They also didn't allow any screenshots of the event after the free segment ended, which is just retarded and limits its social media presence. It felt like they wanted to shoot themselves in the foot sometimes. But on the bright side, I had no buffering issues at all and they
plan to put English subs on the archive later. Day 2 is tomorrow with Lui, Watame, Miko and Laplus but I probably can't make it. Day 1 was solid though and a great way for Gamers to have their 1st huge event.
Also when SSS started, they did a mini-transformation sequence into their idol outfits. Fucking Korone did Akuma's Messatsu pose
