Just because some OTHER event organizer also blacklisted her, doesn't mean CR don't. CR is not just apex legends btw, they do rust, they do ARK, they do pokemon, they do streetfighters, they do GTA, etc. and they literally whitelisted random 3-view vtubers into their server. Did mikeneko enter any of these servers?

Mikeneko didn't complain about getting blacklisted by CR on stream because she didn't want bring mafumafu related stuff to her audience and they might dig out the reason why, there were/are also lawsuits going on as well. There's no reason for CR to publicly disclose such a petty blacklisting either and also Mikeneko can claim damage if they actually do.

What I like most about vtubing is that you can make it no matter what you look like. Looking like shit is a massive debuff for regular streamers, and I'd expect it would make streaming completely infeasible for women in particular, as sad as it is.

And yet, if the photos we've seen are to be believed, all of the girls in Hololive and Phase Connect are good looking. Maybe the uggos are all indies or work for other corpos?

Have we ever had a case of "good indie friends" of existing Hololive talents getting into Hololive? At most we have only seen small interactions (like Ollie appearing in not-Bae chat). Imagine if someone like Miori getting into Hololive, it would feel really weird for the fans.

I should be more specific. I meant good friends who constantly interact and even collab with the Hololive talents. I think Kamiya Juu only appeared as a guest in Ollie's birthday once, and I don't think Namie ever interacted with Ina account. Hence I used the example of Miori, who constantly interacts and collabs with Bae.

There's no "constantly" but there have been a handful of collabs.

Obviously Ollie guested Kamiya Juu once.
Nobuhime Oda and Tokino Sora interacted often, and mega and Sora appeared in the same stream event at least once. I would say this is the closest to the "good friends on the Holo account" situation.
Amatsuka Lilyel played Among Us on stream with AZKi and Mel.

For things that definitely don't count, Kiara liking Caitlyn's comments, and the Keeki superchat on a Pekora stream.

"In" doesn't mean shit to Hololive's recruitment team. Gamers was an anomaly and it also hasn't happened since 2019.

Going back to 2019 and not listing Gamers, 2019 debut Kanata had done a cover as Nozomu with Nayuta (AZKi). 2019 also had Pekora, who as 110 was good friends with Mashiro Kohina (Miko). As a 2018 debut AZKi had also done a cover as Nayuta with Rika.

I likely didn't catch all the JP utaite collabs, nor the JP Niconico streamer collabs, and didn't look into any Holostars. But it's not that big a community.

He might not have to. Phase-Connect is large enough that all of gen3 got to start as 3views, while gen2 had to grind up from very humble 2view numbers iirc. There's just no need to take risks if you're guaranteed an audience.
