On the 30th of December, I intend to do an end-of-year stream, just like I did last year (until Nolan Crush decided to get it taken down because he's a massive bitch, lol). I'll be going over in broad strokes the major industry events of the last year, such as the Selen graduation, the collapse of many, many corporations, the Offkai blacklisting scandal, etc. I'll also be covering relevant community events, such as the Asylum Awards and the inexplicable continued existence of the Pippa thread.
I won't lie, I think 2024 was a very bad year for vtubing as an industry. It's not all doom and gloom, but I can think of many, many negatives that happened this year. Some were very funny to catalogue and observe, but most were pretty indicative of various ongoing trends that have left me feeling rather bearish on the industry as a whole. That said, I think the fact TVA continues to grow is a reason for celebration. We're now over two years old, and an established presence within the industry. For better or worse, we're neither obscure nor insignificant anymore. I have ongoing plans for the future and multiple projects chugging along quietly in the background.
